This contextual data puts us circa top 15% of the country for progress.
Lincolnshire selective system, coastal, 9th decile for disadvantage.
Great to read of course, but not the extent of our ambition to reverse disadvantage.

Saturday School… just like the gym, can be difficult to motivate yourself for, but always leave feeling great!
Such enthusiasm for GCSE English Language at school this morning.

Really proud to host our visitors, show off the brilliant people I work with, and tell the story of our journey so far.
We are determined to reverse disadvantage in Lincolnshire.
A busy but great week !
Great visit to @KEVIAcademy to see @MrMWilkinson and his team.
Lovely to see the excellent standards and improvement journey in full flow.
If you are in the area then it is well worth a visit 👌
This time last year we recognised our 100% attendance stars - 17% of the school.
Same moment of recognition today - 45% of the school.
They say culture eats strategy for breakfast.
Of course we have a robust attendance strategy, but the main reason for our increased, and still rising, attendance is culture ⬆️ 📈

Love this Mark. We do this 4 times a day at @coop_Florence. Reminding the students of core messages from SLANT, SHAPE & STEPS to appreciations to information about the weather tomorrow to visitors.

“Standing assembly” is a decent idea.
Replying to @MrMWilkinson
We’ve rebranded it as Standing Assembly. This makes sure we have a scripted message linked to mission or priorities, and values. Good news stories easy for all to add so we can celebrate success in front of everyone.

Great to read the thread about how @MrMWilkinson you are realising and evolving yours. A great share.
Thank you, Sirs!
We’ve refined our line ups over the last two years and we are so proud of them now. They are so important to us for strengthening culture. Here’s what we’ve done - we were heavily influenced by watching schools on the @exemplaryLP.
One of my special moves… Visitors on the corridor during lesson changeover and a constant chorus of pupils greeting first 🤩
Replying to @MrMWilkinson
Train pupils to greet us first. Often tendency where teacher says 1000 good mornings but gets very few in return. Pupil says it 1st. We say ‘thank u’.

We have refined our line-up too. Watching other schools as part of the @exemplaryLP was invaluable, especially @stmartin1963

Key way for leaders to think:
What is the problem?
Why is it a problem?
What are the factors that create the problem?
Solutions are then easy to find (but not just dropped in from other schools).
Great thread on school improvement @ianwhite21
Brilliant visits to see routines at @stmartin1963 @MerciaSchool @WestLondonFree @Strickomaster @dustonschool were so helpful to us to keep getting better at line ups. But as @ianwhite21 says - you can’t just drop them in.
In Lincolnshire and always keen to collaborate ✉️
Dismissal is super warm. Staff in key positions to smile and say a cheerful good morning greeting to everybody! 😊
Bright lines: Warning bell gives everyone notice to assemble in silence in lines with a certain sanction for lateness.
We’ve purchased a raised platform for the speaker. There’s a sense of theatre as the speaker climbs the stairs and it is now possible to hear, with clarity, right at the back. You can also Be Seen Looking in a way that just isn’t possible at ground level.

Many other schools have gone feature spotting. I worked in an (excellent) school that took line ups from MCA. We could never get it quite right. Kids talking, slow to line up. Not the right equipment. Talking on way to class. Negative messaging.
