Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas hands his 21-year-old son a check for $10,000. "Okay. You're on your own," Kirk says. Michael looks at the check. "That's great, Dad, but I still have two years of college tuition left." Kirk doesn't care. The lesson has started. The bank is closed. For the next 30 years, Kirk Douglas proudly brags to his other children and everyone who would listen: "Michael never asked me for another dime. I gave him that money, and that was it. I made him a man." He believed his extreme tough love had worked perfectly. Until Michael finally sat him down three decades later. "Dad, you remember those beautiful, soft Italian leather suitcases you bought me for Christmas back then?" Michael asked. "Yeah," Kirk smiled. "Well, I found out that each suitcase could hold exactly 22 kilos of marijuana." To pay his tuition and survive his father's brutal lesson in self-reliance, Michael became a drug smuggler. He moved product across the country using the exact same bags his father bought him. Society glorifies tough love. We are told that cutting the safety net and applying maximum pressure is the only way to build true character. But when you push someone to the absolute edge, they don't always learn the moral lesson you intended. Sometimes, they just learn how to survive by any means necessary.

If you’ve decided to start calling something by a new name because Donald Trump decided he wants everyone to call it something different, then you are in a cult of pathetic morons.

So far Trump has tried to rig the midterms by: 1. Attempted to nationalize voter registration & voting requirements 2. Mid-decade gerrymanders 3. Use USPS to obstruct mail-in balloting 4. Used taxpayer money for ads 5. Intimidation of election officials 6. 5K bribe checks

Orwellian descriptions of AI aim to create corporate legal immunity. “AI agents went rogue” casts the AI as having free will & thus not its creators’ responsibility. What’s really happening is that these are recklessly built products. The builders should be prosecuted.

Trump: "Please right your right hand. I pledge to the greatest president in the history of the United States. That loves us so much he can't even breath. That I will go out with my family, my friends, I'll do it any way -- I don't care if I'm registered or not, I'm going to try to cheat like hell like they do ... "

Kick the weak ass dems out who do not stand up for you and the rights you are losing under the Trump admin. You must all stand together as a people and work together to create a society that meets your needs as citizens. Fuck these establishment dems and fuck MAGA too. Rise up!

Todd Blanche having his conformation vote at 4:00 AM tells you everything you need to know about how Republicans in Congress operate. They reserve their most toxic moves for the dead of night.

Billionaires own the platforms, politicians, newspapers and data centers and then tell you the greatest threat to your freedom is a broke immigrant picking vegetables. Weak minded idiots always fall for blaming others. Fascism needs stupid people for it to be implemented.

The Israeli lobby spent $30 million to beat me, but America won because an entire generation is now aware of their corrosive influence on our government. Every elected Republican in Congress is bought, captured, or intimidated by them to some degree. I am the last who is not.

A federal judge just handed the White House a line straight off an eighth-grade civics quiz: "The President plays no role" in elections. Judge Indira Talwani refused to throw out the case against Trump's mail-ballot order — and called it unconstitutional. 👇 dworkinsubstack.com/p/the-tr…

Accusation = Guilt The Salem witch trials of 1692. American "due process?" Ha! Yeah, right. Let's hear the WHOLE story. Guilty? Maybe, but at this point NONE of us knows either way. Dems eagerly jump on their own swords and thereby CHOOSE to live under Trump and the Republicans.
