Food fusion. Here in Panama I found mafa with spicy aji chombo spicy sauce. Mafa is of Chinese origin while the aji chombo is Panamanian.

The 3 siblings of common flavoring here in Panama. Condimentada (seasoned), Sazonatodo (all seasoning) and Salsa China (soy sauce). In the right hands, the results are above and beyond delicious.

The Panamanian hammocks I used growing up were like nets for the body. The entire thing wraps around you, keeping you firmly in place. I jump on them every chance I get.

In 1942, Chinese sailor Poon Lim was aboard the SS Benlomond when it was torpedoed by a German U-172, causing the vessel to sink. Lim found himself alone on a life raft without any means of propulsion, drifting aimlessly at sea. He sustained himself by fishing, drinking bird blood, and even managed to kill a shark using only a jug of water. Miraculously, he survived for 133 days at sea before being rescued.
