🌋Something big is happening on @FlareNetworks 🚀
For the 1st time, network activity is being directly tied to real economic value for #FLR holders.
👉 FIP.16 introduces a system where fees, data services, and cross-chain activity can flow back into the ecosystem—reducing supply, strengthening the token, and aligning growth with usage.
🔥This is how value accrues🔥

Flare is starting to power a pretty unique use case: making satellite analysis verifiable enough to be used in real-world decisions.
Zephyr works with Earth observation data for things like flood assessment, crop damage, deforestation and infrastructure monitoring.
The problem is that the result alone is not enough when money, insurance or compliance depends on it. You also need evidence of what data was used, what code or model processed it, and how the result was produced.
Here FCC and TEEs fit naturally.
The imagery and sensitive inputs can be processed inside a TEE, with the approved code/model executed in a protected environment.
Instead of exposing the underlying data, the system can return an attested result and a cryptographic receipt binding the inputs, execution and output.
Flare then gives that result an onchain verification and settlement layer.
This adds a strong contribution to the list of examples with confidential compute applied to real-world data, and where proving how an answer was produced is just as important as the answer itself.

In Phase 2, Firelight will enable coverage for 6 major on-chain events:
→ Smart contract exploits
→ Oracle failures
→ Governance exploits
→ Bad debt from mechanism failure
→ Depegs from mechanism failure
→ Redemption failures
De-risking Web3, one vector at a time.
Firelight separates coverage from claims assessment.
When live, the Risk Consortium evaluates incidents against cover terms, with independent review from @labsGFX, @HypernativeLabs, @CredoraNetwork, @nativeinsurance, and @cyfrin.

I really want to enable users to borrow RLUSD against their XRP directly from the XRP ledger (using Flare smart accounts) AND receive their borrowed RLUSD ON the XRP ledger.
In order for that to happen I need the Wormhole RLUSD bridge to be up. For that to happen I need XRP validators to approve:

The Firelight Vault at launch is an ERC-4626 vault that holds staked capital backing coverage and issues stXRP to represent each staker’s position.
Standardised accounting and ERC-20 composability make the vault interoperable across DeFi. 👇

The Firelight Protocol roadmap is LIVE!
We have recently completed significant milestones, including our $8M Seed Round and full protocol audits.
Looking ahead, we are preparing for the Firelight Protocol launch and the announcement of our first coverage partners at the end of September!
Here's a detailed timeline of our past, ongoing, and upcoming core milestones.

Firelight raises $8M in a seed round led by @GumiCryptos, with participation from @Maven11Capital, @metalayervc, @tribecap & Joint Effects.
The round supports our work closing DeFi's protection gap. ~$80B in TVL sits across DeFi today, and only a fraction is protected.

Flare Co-Founder & CEO @HugoPhilion will be speaking at @RippleSwell.
Discussing Flare's vision for XRP; from programmable capital to cross-chain execution, on one of the biggest stages in crypto.
See you there ☀️🌊

Billions in DeFi losses have been recorded, while recoveries lag.
Audits reduce risk but cannot eliminate it.
Firelight fills the gap, enabling protocols to integrate coverage and protect users against major economic and technical risks.

Institutional-grade credit is coming to the XRP Ledger (XRPL).
@Cicadacredit brings credit expertise and a borrower pipeline, powered by @ClearpoolFin infrastructure built on the XRPL Lending Protocol and Single Asset Vault.

20B FLR is now staked.
FIP.16 was built to pull more FLR into staking.
Locked capital secures the chain. Stronger validator economics follow.

🚨 TODAY: The SEC proposed new rules, “Regulation Crypto Assets,” that would create a clear and fit-for-purpose framework for certain investment contracts involving crypto assets.
🚨 XRP JUST BECAME COLLATERAL.
FXRP can now be used to borrow RLUSD through Sentora’s RLUSD vault on Morpho.
This is XRP moving from “hold it” ➡️ productive capital.

Different networks. Different primitives.
But together they create something much bigger:
An increasingly connected on-chain capital market. 🔥
10/10 🐂 This is the XRPFi thesis becoming real infrastructure.
XRP doesn’t need to stop being XRP to become productive capital.
It needs rails that let it WORK.
