Enjoyed some of the @FROST_ReginaSk festivities @REALDistrictyqr this weekend. Nice to have some mid-winter action to break up the cold. #yqr
@BlueSkyCBC I have enjoyed the opportunity to slow down the experience of listening to music through #vinyl. The ritual of choosing an album, putting it on, and not being able to skip to the next track. It’s a step back in time to the music my dad played for me when I was a kid…
2 - It’s also a chance to build my “quintessential” collection and introduce my two boys to the music we listened to when I was younger. I teach Grade 7/8 and have added a turntable to my classroom. Students have really grabbed onto the experience of #vinyl as well. @BlueSkyCBC
3 - Another experience is having a stack of 45s. Many have been written on with the names of original owners. It opens up the imagination to the story behind the unique story and history behind the record in your hands. It’s all a very enriching experience. @BlueSkyCBC
What a fantastic opportunity to come together as a school community, recognize the hard work our young people are doing to help learn and share The Truth, and then to put our heads together to be important contributors in building Reconciliation. So grateful for this opportunity!
The conversations had in our classes this week have culminated into a shared experience this morning. Thank you to our SLC & @MrEhRon for guiding us through this opportunity to learn & grow as a school. 🧡

Local celeb and @RegPublicSchool trustee @AdamHicksRegina is surrounded by fans as he addresses the crowd at the @LakeviewSchool5 centennial celebrations last night. #yqr #sask
Looking forward to joining my kids (current @LakeviewSchool5 students), meeting up with my past Lakeview classmates, and joining my father in law (fellow alum), for tonight’s centennial celebrations! Thank you to everyone for their hard work! @RegPublicSchool @SLangeneggerCBC
No internet, no problem! The crew of @MYclassroomSK took things way back, listening to and analyzing some #ClassicJams! Our #vinylrecords and turntable got a good workout today! #Motown #Reggae #disco #soul #yqr #sask

Last week was a long week of teaching. While teaching one day I received this message from @lynpat2007 who was MY grade 4 teacher. I told my class how excited I was and how she is part of the reason I became a teacher.
Thank you, Mrs. Patterson! ❤️
#NationalDayforTruthandReconciliation is coming up. I’m sharing the ongoing resource I’ve put together for class content/conversations/activities for all grade levels. Please use/share. #OrangeShirtDay #reconciliation #TRC #sask #yqr @RegPublicSchool
