Kailynn wasn’t sure whether I’d live during her freshman WOW Day, and & was in the hospital her sophomore year. She was a junior our 1st together.
We’re having what I hope will be the 1st of 10 (or so) more together. Even better, Karlee G got in on the fun on her first WOW Day
Kids these days…
Got a call from a widow in our church to tell me that a high school couple who’d attended MBC this morning saw her at Cracker Barrel after church. Seeing that she was alone, they invited her to eat with them and bought her lunch. She had a great time.

During AT Tuesday, we asked students write thank you notes to adults in the building. Mine wrote to teachers, principals, & cafeteria workers.
Just ran to school for just a minute & found this in my mailbox. I can’t tell you who wrote it, but this one especially made my day.
I enjoy teaching grammar far more than I probably should. It’s a great day when I get to teach about subject / verb agreement with prepositional phrases between.
Hey @marshall_noah remember this? I do!
Really excited about this week in ENG 12. My student teacher & I will conference w/ every student & help them set goals for the year. Of course, there will be plenty of writing along the way. We hope to individualize it so they can take responsibility for their own learning.
I’d like to see at least one more big upset today. I’m pulling for @MSUEaglesMBB to shock WVU like they did Louisville the last time they were in the tournament.
From my student evaluations at EKU. Especially during as rough a semester as this one has been, I’m happy if they know that the third one is true.
Suh-Weet!
Eagles with 10.4 seconds left in this game and Eagles Duerson kicks a field goal. Score Eagles 23-21 @MadSouth_FB @WoodfordFBall
I’ve hated not being able to travel with them this year, but how ‘bout my District Champ Eagles?!
@MadSouth_FB
I got just exactly what I needed today. See, I’ve really been struggling with virtual instruction. I understand why we’re doing it, and I have high levels of respect for the @NewsMCS officials who are making nearly impossible decisions to meet kids’ needs.

She then told me all about her family’s experience w/ COVID & other issues they are facing. It was a sad conversation.
Still, she came to talk to me. This HS senior with a huge load on her shoulders trusted me enough to seek me out.
