BREAKING:
Rioters have broken into the synagogue on Burnouf Street in Paris and vandalized it.
Why would young students allegedly protesting against the poor state of France’s educational system attack a synagogue. Could there be more to these protests that the mainstream media is avoiding to tell people about? xitter.cf/BastionMediaFR/status/…

if you watched the NFL and thought something didn't feel right, you're not alone:
#1 most flags in over a decade
thru 4 weeks, refs are impacting the most CRITICAL moments of games most:
#1 most red zone penalties per game by offenses in history
#1 most penalties on 3rd/4th downs in the second half of games in history
and 17 touchdowns nullified by penalty! (vs only 5 in 2025 & 4 in 2024)
Refs are impacting the most important moments of games unlike we've ever seen before in the NFL, and even some of the coaches are speaking up

This is one of the funniest pieces of elite macroeconomic theater ever staged.
Japan spends 15 years pinning interest rates to the basement, monetizing government debt, crushing domestic savers, exporting capital, and turning the yen into the global carry trade’s complimentary drink coupon.
Then the yen collapses.
Washington looks at the smoking crater and declares the currency “substantially undervalued,” as though a rogue gang of hedge funds broke into Tokyo at night and secretly installed Abenomics.
Now America may help Japan buy yen, while offering Japan a larger FIMA repo facility so Tokyo can raise dollars against its Treasury holdings without dumping those Treasuries into the market.
Read the plumbing carefully.
Japan needs dollars to defend the yen.
Japan owns a mountain of U.S. government debt.
Selling that debt could push American yields higher.
Higher American yields would increase U.S. financing costs, tighten global liquidity, strengthen the dollar, and place even more pressure on the yen.
So the Federal Reserve provides a facility allowing Japan to borrow dollars against the Treasuries, then sell those dollars to buy yen, thereby protecting the price of the Treasuries that collateralize the dollar loan used to defend the currency damaged by the rate differential created by those same Treasury yields.
This is an absolute circus.
The Trump Administration delivers for America's trusted partners. Economic security is national security. And the U.S.-Japan alliance is built on both.
Friday's coordinated foreign exchange actions countered disorderly yen movements.
Treasury remains attentive and in close communication with our counterparts at MOF and BOJ. We will not hesitate to participate in further joint intervention.
The FIMA Repo Facility is an important backstop. We would encourage it to be upsized in the coming months.
We strongly support Japan's decisive market and monetary steps to correct the substantial undervaluation of the yen.
The Takaichi government is moving into an exciting new phase of Abenomics, as nearly 15 years of powerful stimulus have created durable, robust underlying economic dynamics.

The Dodgers just acquired arguably the best pitcher in baseball for prospects they acquired in deals where they sent away Michael Busch…. and Matt Beaty
If you think they acquired Tarik Skubal because they have money shut the hell up

A Trump judicial nominee was recently asked, point blank, whether Trump is eligible to run for a third term.
They refused to answer.
It is horrifying what MAGA is doing to America.
Their movement rejects the Constitution and the basic tenets of what it means to be American.

Look, Iran is a radical Islamist theocracy. Their regime has been stuck in the Middle Ages for the past 47yrs. Every war they fight is a “holy war.” I just never figured the United States would regress to Iran’s level and purposely fight a holy war as well, all in the name of white Christian nationalism. Well, here we are. Scary, un-American shit.👇
Hey @espn I was watching the end of the ASU UCF basketball game on the ESPN+ app and the game feed was ended with less than a minute left in a 1 point game. Game disappeared at exactly 7pm. WTF are you doing!?!?

You can look between the legs and see the ball moving before he even gets to the ground.
The referees got this completely right

At some point when reviewing plays, the league should consider adding a speed threshold for anything involving the element of time.
When you slow plays down to 1/100th the speed, it distorts what actually happened and makes it look like, in this case, Cooks possessed the ball for seconds prior to losing it. The game is not played in slow motion or frame by frame.
For a catch:
A) Secure control of the ball ✅
B) Two feet down in bounds ✅
C) After (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, clearly performs any act common to the game (e.g., extend the ball forward, take an additional step, tuck the ball away and turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so.
C is where there is a judgement needed since A and B are clearly met. Now consider this note to the rule:
If a player, who satisfied (a) and (b), but has not satisfied (c), contacts the ground and loses control of the ball, it is an incomplete pass if the ball hits the ground before he regains control, or if he regains control out of bounds.
Because Cooks did lose control of the ball when he contacted the ground and the ball never contacted the ground, it was ruled an interception by Denver.

Financial Times: US shale bosses have warned Trump that his mission to seize Venezuela’s oil sector and drive down crude prices will put American output on the chopping block. “We’re talking about this administration screwing us over again,” said a top executive at one of the country’s leading shale groups, describing the plans as “against American producers”.
