The fire at CFB Wainwright was NOWHERE NEAR an active gas wells or pipelines. The wind direction suggests the fire started on range around the dry pond labeled "6602" and raged to the NEE towards infrastructure.
The largest producer was at 50 mcf/d .... very low rate. And its operator (Sumerian Oil & Gas) was ordered by the AER to suspend operation on October 5th, but was planning on appealing the decision the day of the incident.
This story will be told in inquiry by the RSO responsible for this operation, as the winds howled to >100 km/h ....

A better temporal review of the Sattelite data 👇, noting the grassfire was active as early as 12:27 the day of the incident, and hours before things turned bad.
Again, fire ignition points are no where near military or oil and gas infrastructure, but burned downwind to end at some. An inquiry will likely show this was a completely preventable tragedy 😔

Prime Minister @MarkJCarney and other officials only talk of a fast moving fire - not an explosion.
At this point I'm not sure what the truth is, but the fact is this - I no longer trust or believe the highest institutions and offices in the land.
I require independent verification and credible corroboration for anything that comes from public officials whether appointed or elected.
This is where we are now in Canada.
And even if the grassfire hit the wellsites, these ones are underground covered by steel plates. And gas wells see grassfires every year without incident....
The answer is up-wind, on-range, nowhere near oil and gas infrastructure, and likely buried in CAF pageantry and obfuscation :(

Required reading for tonight is the connection to Daniel Tyrie's father and a Board Member of CASIS, Jonathan Calof. And their 2025 action item being to understanding the attraction of youth to whackadoodle alt-Right organizations like the @DominionSoc
(CASIS is an arms length organization established in 1985, which feeds research and informs Canada's CSIS intelligence organization on the boogeyman du jour. They have a ROUNDTABLE Meeting under Chatham House rules, just like Mr. Tyrie's Castilles Society🤔)
