Pointing Out A Problem. I was listening to a podcast about something unrelated to parenting, or school, or autism. The guest was talking about his experiences leaving a religion with abusive leaders. He raised the alarm as a teenager, thinking that others would act.1/

This is awesome — AT&T worked with Gallaudet University to create a 5G helmet so their deaf and hard-of-hearing students could play football.
Coaches will select plays from a tablet, which will then show up on the players visor.
They'll use them for the first time this weekend.

Never confuse education with intelligence. You can have a Ph.D. and still be an idiot. 🧠

#ADHD pro tip: bad brain days are a great time to do tasks that aren’t brain heavy. Mindless stuff it feels like a “waste” of time to do on good brain days.

Marrying a stutterer changed my life.
Our first date was difficult. I'd forgotten he'd written the word "stutterer" somewhere in his Bumble profile.
We met at the base of a local hike — just as storm clouds were rolling in.
It took at least a minute for him to say "Hello."

“Inclusion” in education is still dominated by a focus on labelling learners as belonging to particular groups as opposed to recognising that learners are variable in ways that go way beyond superficial groupings. We’ll change nothing without a fundamental mindset shift.
So many young athletes could use to watch the raw honesty here from @Hasselbeck - so so good 🫡
This right here is why @Hasselbeck was a reporter’s best friend during his playing days. He would constantly give totally relatable stories that applied to whatever was going on in the locker room at a given time. This is so good.
