India is not a middle power. That is just a phase we are transitioning through. We will become what we are destined to be. A global superpower but a very different kind.
India’s emergence will offer nations a third way. Less focused on conflict, interference. More enlightened.

Dhruv Rathee going to London to call for protests is strategically idiotic. Not only does it undermine the credibility of the movement, but it also lends ammunition to those claiming that these protests are sponsored by the deep state.
what an idiot.

I am sure Ambanis are politically influential. But they are also GREAT ENTREPRENEURS.
And its sad that they don’t get appreciated enough for what they did with Jio, which was nothing short of a REVOLUTION.
Its really repelling to watch people who have achieved absolutely nothing in their life trolling Ambanis for creating “just another SIM card.”
NO, DUDE. They LITERALLY CHANGED THE ENTIRE ECONOMICS OF DATA IN THIS COUNTRY. It led to not just MASSIVE consumer gains, but also flourishing of COUNTLESS BUSINESSES.
The increasing misinformation and stupidity is only making the digital realm less credible. This is great news.

Terence Tao warns that the race to AGI is becoming toxic, and OpenAI’s massive paper dump wiped out junior research projects overnight.
Some parts of his most recent interview:
“They were willing to toss understanding to the side so that they could prove more theorems, get more press releases [...] and test their latest toys.
These AIs are depleting our pool of questions and not replenishing them with anything new.
only looked at about 10 of the 300 odd papers. I mean, so this is part of the thing. There's just so many to look at.
[...] There's a whole bunch which are still incomprehensible. And no one's really gone through them, and one or two even have some errors and [were] retracted.
So we don't have a clear picture of what's going on. And no one from OpenAI is helping us. As far as they're concerned, they're done.
[...] We have this pile of stuff to go through which we didn't ask for, but we have it anyway. And there will be some good stuff in there and some rubbish, but we don't know what the percentages are yet.”

My name was off the voter list too.
Instead of crying about it at Jantar Mantar, I just went to the ECI website, did the basic due diligence using my mom's ID, and got my Voter ID fixed🥱
Turns out, being educated actually solves problems faster than protesting! 🤷♂️

So do your part. Put your study to practice and inspire those around you to do the same. We are all individually the answer, in the choices we make.
No, the most important one is the freedom of thought. Which is to be naturally followed by freedom of speech.
People do not and cannot understand that their reasoning is flawed and so they easily succumb to any idea voiced up with force and emotion. No human is immune to it.
Not even you. Yet you keep disseminating opinions and think it will not have any affect. This country will never grow up to think independently because of its own people. Social media is just an affect amplifier.
Ideas evolve in the vessel called the brain through experience and time. Therefore, never trust the ideas to be truths, but do value them immensely.

i'm not a mathematician but i'm starting to think that the right move around all this OpenAI stuff is to ignore them entirely until they submit papers to peer reviewed journals like actual academics

Hi @TeamYouTube My channel (amongst a lot of animation channel around the world) has been falsely claimed as misleading family content. My channel has no sign of that being the case and my appeal was also rejected. Please help.

Mathematicians from the beginning of time worked for the fun of it. When asked "whether this research will ever be useful in practice" they answered "no one knows whether any piece of theoretical research will ever be used in practice, but many such pieces have found very important practical implementations years or even decades later." And they were right.
But this logic gave a carte blanche to any mathematician to work for decades on trying to solve a single puzzle.
With LLMs now capable of solving puzzles, it's understandable why mathematician scientists are furious.
But this doesn't mean that they can no longer do mathematical research. An LLM will not invent calculus, graph theory, geometry, or discrete mathematics from scratch. This takes genius. And genius is a human feature.
But playing with puzzles pretending you are working is a done deal.

I always wondered how a country of 20-30 crore people was ruled by merely a few thousand Britishers. I'm seeing it now in real time: the descendants of those who favoured the British.
