One thing I noticed about Spider-Man vs Doctor Strange in No Way Home is that Peter never actually beats Strange at magic. He beats him at adaptation. Strange puts Peter inside the Mirror Dimension because he assumes Peter has no way to understand what he’s looking at. But Peter starts studying the geometry around him. The moment he realizes the dimension is following mathematical patterns, he stops fighting Strange nd starts manipulating the environment Strange created. That scene is easy to remember as “Spider-Man beats Doctor Strange with math.” But I think the more important detail is this: Peter was learning how Strange’s power worked while Strange was fighting him. That is one of the most dangerous things about Spider-Man. U can overpower him, u can surprise him. But if you give Peter enough time to understand what you’re doing, the fight can change very quickly.

John Stewart may have just had the most important moment in Lanterns so far. He finally had Hal Jordan’s ring in his hands. He could have taken the power, proven himself and officially become a Green Lantern. Instead, he gave the ring back. That tells me John isn’t chasing the power. He’s still trying to figure out whether he actually wants the responsibility. And honestly, that makes him far more interesting. Did John make the right decision #Lanterns
