What started as a simple vision for feeding students healthy, whole, locally sourced food has grown into a nation-leading movement. I’m beyond proud of what California has accomplished with the Farm to School Program in just eight years: from pilot program to permanently funded and reaching more than half our K-12 students.
Today at our annual luncheon, we celebrated the incredible partnerships with chefs, educators, parents, students, farmers, and so many more who come together around the table with a shared goal for our kids, economy, and climate.
Movement isn’t just about getting stronger or reaching a goal. It can change how you feel, too.
Instead of worrying about what movement should look like, find what feels good to you.
Your body is made to move, not meet someone else’s expectations.
Back-to-school season can be an adjustment for the whole family. 🎒
As kids settle into new classes, schedules, and routines, small moments of support at home can make a difference.
A little patience can go a long way as your family creates its back-to-school rhythm.

Our minds can get noisy, especially when we’re stressed or have a lot going on.
You don’t have to figure out every thought the moment it shows up. Moving your body can give your mind a chance to reset, shift your focus and come back to the moment.
Who makes your day a little better? 💛
Maybe it’s the friend who always makes you laugh, the family member who checks in just because or the person who’s always there when you need them.
Tag someone you’re glad to have in your corner. 🫶#MYBCYM

You don't need hours to recharge.
Even 20 minutes can be enough to step away from your routine, move your body, and reconnect with the present moment.
The next time your day feels busy, try taking a few minutes to get outside, give yourself a chance to reset.
The best motivation often comes on four paws.

Creating a calm corner doesn't have to be complicated.
Find a quiet spot where you can take a few moments to reset. Add things that help you feel relaxed, like a cozy blanket, your favorite book, calming music, a candle, or a journal💙
Taking care of your well-being can start with noticing what you need. 💙 Maybe it’s rest, movement, fresh air, a conversation, or a quiet moment to slow down.
There is no perfect answer, just a chance to listen to yourself with kindness.
