This 29th August, at Ather Community Day, we’ll be launching our mass-market scooter built on our brand new scooter platform.
We have been patiently investing in the building blocks of what makes a good scooter for years now. Pioneering a lot of architectures and tech. Sometimes ahead of time, sometimes packaged as an early adopter thing.
A decade in, EV 2Ws are ready to now move beyond that stage now. The tech is ready for everybody, the features are becoming relevant for all. Not early adopters - but truly mainstream.
EVs now need to solve for a customer across the entire spectrum: from resale price, to servicing time, from comfort on potholed roads, to avoiding those potholes in the first place, from ease of charging, to super fast charging, from visible safety that your parents can touch & feel and be confident about, to the invisible safety borne out of a decade long work on software.
There's a bunch to launch on 29th August. See you all there!

First, the Ministry of Petroleum sits on my RTI for 2 months. Then, they play a shell game, deflecting it to ARAI and OMCs. Now, ARAI hides behind "confidentiality" to suppress the research reports.
If the Govt cited IOCL, ARAI, and SIAM studies in their press release to push the E20 mandate, why is the data now a state secret? What’s "confidential" about mileage drops and engine corrosion?
This isn't about trade secrets; it’s about a total lack of accountability. The refusal to share reports only confirms the suspicion: the Ministry lied in their press release, and the "extensive research" is a ghost. Millions of vehicle owners are being used as guinea pigs for a policy backed by zero transparent science.
