This yrs count way down on last year (87 vs near 200).
Going to follow up in early Jan as it has been very warm. Perhaps not all in to overwinter yet. Vid later this week.

Counted three mullein #moth #caterpillars in the #garden today. I know they can be devastating to some plants but even so all welcome as plants can be replaced and #wildlife can’t. #conservation #nature #environment #GardeningTwitter @savebutterflies @BritishMoths @MothNight

The Herald and The Miller were both new species for my garden last night.
Does this mean garden potential for finding a) the fabulous Miller caterpillar or b) hosting #HibernatingHeralds later in the year?🤞

ALT A Herald moth on bark. It has broad russet brown wings with scalloped edges and fiery smudges of orange
ALT Miller moth on a white wall. It has pale grey wings with a few small black streaks.
