Congratulations to @OSUCCC_James, @OhioStateMedOnc, #PIIO physician-scientist, Dr. Elshad Hasanov (@HasanovLab) on receiving a @GatewayforCR award to fund ZUMRA study, a multicenter phase II clinical trial for patients with #KidneyCancer and #BrainMetastasis!
ZUMRA study will test zanzalintinib alone or in combination with belzutifan in patients with untreated or progressive #BrainMetastases, a population often excluded from major clinical trials.
The study will evaluate whether these treatments shrink brain metastases, while also assessing safety, duration of cancer control, and survival.
An important step toward expanding treatment options and bringing hope to patients with challenging-to-treat kidney cancer.
