A Gentleman Officer’s Reflections on Service and Security
Today, I began my day in Onitsha, Anambra State, with a visit to the Clarissan Missionary Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament as they celebrated their Golden Jubilee.
Later, I was honoured to join other leaders at the public presentation of Beyond the Bullet: Policing Terrorism in a Democratic System, authored by the former Inspector-General of Police, MD Abubakar, PhD, CFR, at the Police Resource Centre, Jabi, Abuja.
As IGP, he was remarkably accessible, always available to us around the clock and impressively responsive to emergencies.
Having known him as a fine and exemplary officer, I am confident, even though I have yet to read the book, that it reflects deep professionalism and offers valuable insights into securing our nation while upholding the rule of law and human dignity.
I once again congratulate the retired IGP and wish him greater success in his future endeavours as he continues to contribute to the development of our great nation.
I encourage others who have served this country faithfully to share their experiences, which will undoubtedly contribute to building a New Nigeria that is POssible and OK. -PO

Jarrett Tenebe defends AK-47 fire comment, says he'll spit on Atiku and bite Peter Obi's ear
Edo APC chairman Jarrett Tenebe has defended his AK-47 fire comment — claiming during an interview that it was like Christians wishing enemies "Holy Ghost fire." He also said he would spit in Atiku's face and bite Peter Obi's ear if he comes near him.
With elections just months away, many are calling this reckless rhetoric that the APC must condemn.

Peter Obi is desperate to be President.
But what exactly does desperate mean?
If seeking the presidency repeatedly makes someone desperate, then Nigerians should examine Tinubu, Atiku and Obi.
The question is not who wants power. It is what each man wants to do with it.

“Tinubu Is Not Qualified To Be President Of Nigeria. From His Forged Qualifications To The Kind Of Person He Is And How He Has Destroyed Nigeria, He Still Says We Should Give Him More Time. What Did He Do With The Time We Already Gave Him? The Nigerian Press And Media Are Not Doing Enough Because They Should Be Reminding Tinubu Of His Campaign Promises. Under Tinubu’s Watch, Nigeria Has Become What It Is Today, And He Now Wants To Come Back In 2027 To Bury The Country Completely.” ~ Barrister Darlington

The Kwankwasiyya have made it clear to INEC that if their candidate is not on the ballot in 2027, there will be no INEC in Kano State and no election.
That's the way to go!

Peter Obi is busy talking to the PEOPLE, those who truly have the power but Bola Tinubu is banking on the Governors and Nyesom Wike to deliver him, the difference is too clear.

It is equally horrifying that you would bring Mr Peter Obi into the conversation @akintollgate
To what extent?!
Emir Sirdam is a human being like you with his own agency and you should take him on as one without bringing in Mr Peter Obi.
Gosh!
This is vile, toxic and disgusting. How many votes have you converted from this horrible tweet ? I hope @PeterObi would equally find it noble to “like” your tweet.
People are paying attention and don’t assume it won’t have ramifications. He left a family behind and they may never have cared about politics, but here you are celebrating the demise of another Nigerian because of your nuisance political opinions. Using the death of another to earn YouTube dollars is quite sad!
You can do better Oga!

Dear Segun Showunmi,
Nigerians will count their votes.
Arithmetic is not treason!
1. One of the oldest tricks of political intimidation is to frighten citizens away from their rights by presenting accountability as criminality.
2. I listened to @SegunShowunmi warning Nigerians against announcing election results before INEC, invoking the imprisonment of MKO Abiola as though we were still living under military dictatorship.
3. Dear Segun, I think it is time you stopped confusing electoral accountability with treason.
4. NO provision of the Nigerian Constitution makes counting votes, collating authentic polling unit results or checking electoral mathematics an act of treason. None. Zero. Zilch
5. The law distinguishes these legitimate activities from unlawfully declaring official winners or knowingly publishing false results.
6. And this distinction matters.
7. Every serious political party should independently collate its polling unit results, preserve signed EC8A forms and compare its figures with whatever INEC eventually announces.
8. This is what democratic accountability requires.
9. In Britain, party agents observe vote counting, scrutinise the process and independently assess electoral outcomes.
10. Nobody imagines that such scrutiny amounts to overthrowing the state.
11. Dear Segun, please stop threatening Nigerians with Abiola's ghost.
12. Abiola was imprisoned under a military regime.
13. This is a constitutional democracy, in case you have forgotten.
14. Nobody is attempting to take over INEC's responsibility to declare election winners.
15. Nigerians simply want to establish whether the figures announced reflect the votes actually cast.
16. Nigerians will count their votes.
17. Nigerians will collate their results.
18. Nigerians will check the mathematics.
19. And Nigerians will expect INEC's figures to tally.
20. Because democracy does not end when citizens cast their ballots.
21. It survives when those ballots are faithfully counted.
22. INEC has the authority to declare the results, but it does not have a monopoly on arithmetic.
23. Dear Segun, I hope you find this helpful.
