So many problems with this:
1) BOTW took influence from all forms of Zelda. Zelda 1's openness, OOT-style dungeons to a degree, TP horseback, etc
2) Zelda 1 wasn't openworld, it had progression and locked you out wihtou the right items.
3) The OOT's model started with ALTTP
It's infuriating to see so many Zelda fans not know what they are talking about.
The "OOT Model" of 3D Zelda isn't the "traditional model" the original LOZ is. BOTW is a modernization of the original LOZ.
The OOT Model only came about because the technology didn't exist at the time for the devs to make a true open world LOZ like the original.
If you prefer the OOT model that is fine but don't say it's the traditional model cause it sure as hell isn't.
Yeah I’m ngl this is gonna have to be the end of my marathon. Since I think September 15th? I’ve completed 8 Zelda games in a row. I am burnt out and will probably do something else until the remake drops
Totk discourse blows so hard because people would rather complain about how some sections can’t be cheesed than anything the game actually suffers from
I kinda want them to make a new title tbh
I am going out on a limb here but I think Nintendo is going to remake every 3D Zelda in the same way Capcom is remaking every Resident Evil game.
Majora's Mask makes sense since its an asset flip, there are times in the OOT trailer where the art looks like Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword definitely needs to be remade cause that game is mediocre, the only anomaly is Wind Waker.
Wind Waker's art style is timeless.
In the post BOTW era for Zelda, new entries will be even more ambitious and take longer to make so it makes sense to have these remakes released in between them.
