Sadly today we had to say goodbye to our beloved Klein, he has been with us for almost 18 years but he passed away but our love and care has been with him until the end. You will always be part of our family and will always be remembered, goodbye old friend.🥀

Oh hi! It's been a few... (checks calendar) weeks since we last posted but we're freshly back from hosting developer sessions in SFO during GDC, and wanted to share our blog post recap more broadly. From preparing for your first @Steam release to tips on Early Access, Next Fest, marketing, and other Steam features, you'll find a summary of what we covered (with links to documentation) here: store.steampowered.com/news/…

TLOU 2 remastered reached its max CCU peak during the weekend becoming the 9th best debut CCU wise with 30,690 concurrent users.
Replying to @Morwull
29th Banner, The Last of Us pt2 remastered available now, static one, the sequel to TLOU is finally here and not only it is doing decent CCU numbers so far (not the biggest but not bad) but also released in a more polished state than some previous releases from PlayStation.

Not only that but Atelier Yumia also surprised us all with a really great debut for the saga on Steam. The game became the biggest Atelier debut on the platform in terms of CCU (which wasn't too high but Ryza was decent) and also became the 6th best debut for Koei Tecmo.

Assassin's Creed Shadows had a really strong debut on Steam as the first big day and date release since 2019 becoming not only the biggest Assassin's Creed debut CCU wise but also 5th biggest overall debut on the platform. There was a big dip in numbers with non-day and date.

Solid list as usual. Some really nice surprises there like "A game about digging a hole" or the juggernaut that has been REPO. But then you have amazing stuff such as KCD2, Wilds or Yakuza. Quite varied. store.steampowered.com/sale/…

As expected, today's CCU peak for Steam was even higher going from 40,48 million to 41,24 million concurrent users. Additionally, the max In-Game peak was also surpassed going from 13,0 million to almost 13,2 million players. As you can see, growth is steady.
Surprisingly, Steam got a new all-time CCU peak going from 40,27 to 40,48 million concurrent users ON A SATURDAY (CCU peaks tend to happen during Sundays). This happens while the spring sale is on-going and quite a lot of games are getting new all-time peaks due discounts.

It happened. Steam surpassed the 40 million mark with 40,2 million concurrent users (vs. 39,92m from last week) with 12.7 million users in-game. For reference, the 30 million mark was surpassed in October 2022.

Not only that but also this is the first time the platform has surpassed 13 million in-game users for the first time, previous in-game record was during August 2024 with 12,5 million users. Quite interesting.
