“The price of solar modules declined by 99.6% since 1976.”
To get our expectations for the future right, we need to pay attention to the technologies that follow learning curves.
Initially, we might only find them in a few high-tech applications, but the future belongs to them.

FINALLY!
Our paper on 100%RE is out!
It traces the history and fast growth of the scientific field that models 100% renewable energy: no fossil or nuclear needed.
Hundreds of peer reviewed studies now claim 100%RE is possible worldwide against low cost!

If you have not read this, pls do. The key point is not 100%, but to point out how it is possible, even today. This is important to address all of the "ya buts" from the o&g and nuclear bros, and the "you can't have more than x% renewables in the grid bros".

This article highlights well the dual nature of the sun for humans and their cities. The sun gives light and electricity but also gives glare, intense heat. Solar solutions for buildings need to move beyond the roof, and creating power for AC. Deal with the sun first
“The sun is light and dark, creator and destroyer, bringer of both plagues and healing, a mass of unpredictable energies.” From 1843 magazine econ.st/3baHT9a

Replying to @NatBullard
Another slide from presentation: In 2020 global cumulative installed solar generation capacity passed wind generation capacity, and now the gap between them is widening significantly as solar ends the year just under 1 terawatt installed worldwide
