The @hfxgov loves to issue “street cleaning” tickets. You know what they don’t do? Clean the streets. Entire street has garbage, cigarette butts, and foliage on it. Oh, and parts of surrounding streets are closed for construction. The city makes living downtown difficult.
Does anyone have ideas on the difference between the residential areas where the city decided to "gut" proposed housing density (as helpfully illustrated by Deny below) and those places where the city decided massive height increases was fine? Like 30 strys on parts of Creighton?

Yet, portions of Creighton Street in a neighbourhood with single family homes are still proposed to get 33 strys. Affluent south enders were openly bragging they hadpoliticians in their back pockets. Feels like we're repeating history.
I was thrilled to be conferred my Master of Laws (LLM) from Osgoode Hall Law School (@OsgoodeNews) in Toronto on Friday! It was such a privilege to continue my learning journey - in a field I love - from exceptional professors and classmates.
I haven’t always agreed with @MittRomney but I respect his courageous and principled approach over the past few years as well as the humility to step aside for a new generation of leaders. youtu.be/6xGRBb3sN64?si=F_zi…
Today my mom shared this photo of us from this date back in 2019! Every year I was Chair of Halifax Pride she would come show her love and support, including volunteering at events. Having a supportive parent positively changed my life and has been the greatest gift. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

@VanJones68 nails it again. What he is explaining is that SYSTEMIC racism and discrimination is built into the fabric of institutions through their culture, structures, policies, and norms. youtu.be/f6yfjHWnvfA
