With as many Smarties I have eaten this week.
My IQ should be in the thousands.. {chuckling}
Donβt worry. Christian thinks I handed them all out.
{checking the math because it doesnβt feel like itβs been that long}
Wow. Itβs really almost 3 years.
Iβll have you know they have been so good they have flown by.
{covering my ears}

I donβt want that image in my head. We ate breakfast on that growing up.

I thought Iβd surprise the wife while she was at Target with some Halloween decorations because itβs her favorite holiday. I guess telling one of our neighbors this is what happened when my mother in law kept asking for grandkids. Didnβt go well with the HOA. #HartleyHumor
Be careful when blowing the dust off your account.
Damn near gave myself an asthma attack. {laughing}
Pray for Spokane. This fire is being compared to the fire of 1889 that destroyed the city.
My bestie sent me video of my old street. The house where I learned to drive. Learned to dance. Learned what heartbreaks really meant.. is all gone. The whole area is just.. burned to ash.
πΊπΈ UPDATE β The Old Trails Fire near Spokane, Washington has exploded to roughly 3,500 acres and pushed into the city itself, in what The Spokesman-Review is calling one of the worst natural disasters in Spokane's history. Driven by 35β45 mph wind gusts and single-digit humidity, the fire jumped the Spokane River and is now burning homes in the Indian Trail neighborhood β "walls of flame," house after house alight.
The scale, per a Saturday news conference: Washington State Forester George Geissler said about 4,000 buildings are threatened, and officials confirmed structures are being lost. Mass Level 3 "Go Now" evacuations cover much of north Spokane β north of Francis Ave, west of Division St β affecting thousands within the city limits. The Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center evacuated patients.
The response has escalated: the National Guard was activated β the first time for a Washington fire since 2021 β and FEMA authorized federal funds. Utility Avista cut power to 7,000+ customers (partly a deliberate Public Safety Power Shutoff). A "Particularly Dangerous Situation" red-flag warning β extremely rare β is driving the rapid spread.
If you're in the area: follow Spokane County Emergency Management, the Spokane911.com evacuation map, and the Watch Duty app. Evacuate immediately if ordered. Shelters and pet-intake sites are open.
Developing.
