Underestimate us at your peril
Before the primaries many people said it was impossible to do it without the illegitimate National Electoral Center (CNE), 3.5 million people showed up to vote.
Then they told us that it was impossible for a real opposition candidate to run after they barred MCM and a proxy.
When Edmundo accepted to run and was in the ballot in her place, they told us it was impossible that an older retired diplomat that no one knew could win, no matter what MCM said or did.
After the campaign became the most epic civilian act of resistance weโve had in our history, many said they would not allow the vote to happen.
More than 7.5 million people voted for Edmundo. 1 million Volunteers risked their lives to protect the votes and the original tally sheets.
Maduro, Delcy y Jorge Rodriguez, Cabello, Vladimir and all their fake institutions stole the election in the most brazen way. We had incontrovertible proof of the fraud in 2 days. We did it under the regimeโs nose with the smartest underground operation Iโve ever seen.
When โnothingโ happened a lot of people said it was the end. We would be like Cuba.
A Nobel peace prize later, Maduro and Cilia are in jail, the Rodriguez are following the US orders and we continue united and mobilized with one objective: a real transition to democracy.
In 26 years of mistakes, setbacks, betrayals, the democratic movement never gave up. We grew, united and organized around 2 main principles.
#HastaelFinal #QueVuelvanNuestrosHijos
This fight is to the end, we will bring our children home. Only in democracy we will achieve that.

โAfter ten years of Trump insisting that reports of his cooperation with Russia were a hoax, here we are, watching one profoundly unpopular man tear apart the global system under which we have lived for eighty years in order to climb into bed with Vladimir Putin.โ

Donald Trump is leading the most consequential retreat and defeat of American power since the nationโs founding, ceding power to Putin and Xi, abandoning our allies, destroying democracy and looting our commonwealth. And it may already be too late to stop him.
How that 18% of non-affiliated breaks will change the outcome. Still, donโt want to get my hopes up for Florida.
FLORIDA TURNOUT UPDATE | October 19 (evening)
Florida has 1,102,430 reported ballots cast:
๐ต Democrats: 462,119 โ 41.92%
๐ด Republicans: 409,469 โ 37.14%
โช No Party Affiliation: 203,870 โ 18.49%
๐ฃ Other parties: 26,972 โ 2.45%
Democrats lead combined reported turnout by 52,650 ballots.
Vote by mail: Democrats lead by 53,277.
In-person early voting: Republicans lead by only 627โ69,283 Republicans versus 68,656 Democrats.
Relative to registration, today's landscape is favorable to Democrats. They represent approximately 30.23% of registered voters but 41.92% of reported ballots. Republicans represent 41.54% of registration and 37.14% of reported ballots, using the September 30 registration baseline.
Tonightโs in-person picture is also geographically uneven: early voting began in 34 counties today, with the mandatory statewide period beginning October 24. Counties that have started voting do not necessarily have the same partisan mix as Florida overall.
The Brito Take: Democrats have an early participation advantage relative to their statewide registration share, and reported in-person turnout is nearly even between the two major parties. Whether that advantage lasts as more counties begin voting is the next question. NPA voters already account for more than 203,000 ballots.

I'm getting sick and tired of these Putin apologists acting like the war in Ukraine is some kind of natural disaster that Putin just found himself in and that Ukraine wants to perpetuate.
Putin started the war. Russia invaded Ukraine. Ukraine wants to be free.
How is this difficult?

Three important observations from the recent Pew poll:
1. Americans see Russia (-70%) more negatively than not only Saudi Arabia (-55%), but even China (-54%), universally considered to be the chief US adversary.
2. Americans' attitude towards UK (+54%) is less warm than to Italy (+59%) and even to Japan (+65%).
3. Trump's policies towards Canada (confrontation) and Russia (appeasement) are diametrically opposite ones compare to predominant attitudes of Americans towards these two countries(+63% and -70%, respectively).

More evidence that populist Trump's embrace of incredibly unpopular Russia is entirely personal, not political. The treasonous "Better Russia than a Democrat" sentiment in MAGA was fleeting.

Reminder: Florida Republican officials stole $10 million in taxpayer money and used it to fund political campaign ads on TV.
Now Florida Republicans want to block TV ads about how they stole the money.
This is insane.
BREAKING: The Republican Party of Florida wants a judge to pull a Democratic TV ad about the Hope Florida grand jury report. It says airing the report's "content, gist, or import" is now a crime.
The lawsuit, filed at 11:36 p.m. Friday in Highlands County, targets the Florida Democratic Party, its three statewide candidates and 11 TV stations in Orlando and Tampa Bay.
The party also referred the stations to FDLE and prosecutors. One copy went to the statewide prosecutor, who works in AG James Uthmeier's office. Uthmeier is the candidate the ad targets.
What the lawsuit leaves out:
- The grand jury report has been public since Aug. 26.
- The appeals court ruling it relies on isn't final until Friday at the earliest.
- The U.S. Supreme Court struck down part of the same secrecy law in 1990.
Early voting starts Monday in many counties.
