CTE Arts/AV students impressed us with their films and graphic designs at the Take 6 Film Festival. 🎥 We celebrated many student creations, including our aspiring film students at Lamar & Bowie Middle Schools through the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools program. 🎬 Patrick Ta, Nimitz Student Influencer, won "BEST of the FEST Video" for his documentary, "One Footstep." 🎬 Angeline Gonzalez, Irving High School junior, won "BEST of the FEST Poster" for her promotional design for the film, "The Art of Laundering." Fantastic effort to all our CTE leaders and students for this successful event. 🤩 #Take6FilmFestival

Congratulations to our new wave of future educators! 🥳 The I Am Next pinning ceremony took place yesterday, and our seniors in the teaching CTE pathway were given their official pins for completing the program. 🧷 These students have the opportunity to come back to work as educators in Irving ISD and earn a $4,000 bonus in their first year of teaching!
