Strong, open disagreement is exactly what makes consensus building possible in genuinely decentralized crypto, and also makes it very very hard.
If the dissent part rubs you the wrong way, the consensus part probably isn't the right hill for you to try to climb.
I don't think it's a realistic, nor desirable goal to try to fully supplant fiat with crypto.
I see it's more pragmatic end point, as something more like supplementation.
75% of defi is going to be FUCKED if the clarity act ever passes.
Essentially what it does, it makes all the things in crypto that were maybe possibly illegal, definitely and clearly illegal.
And the lame duck SEC the trump admin put in, will not preside forever.
I'd love to hear the utility advantages of a smart contract network for dogecoin:
1) Expressed purely using smart contract functionalities that are _actually_ popular on existing networks
2) That don't sound like ways to part fools from their money, or profit from said fools.
Fascinating reply in general. Sort of an implied quid pro quo in there, development help for protocol influence.
Certain people don't seem to people very well.
This is why AI companies don't tell you what tokens you sign up for BTW. It's so they can change the plan on you at will, and constantly enshitify the service.
Replying to @elonmusk @DogecoinNorway
I'm a bit confused here... How is it not fraud to reduce that which people have already paid for without a commensurate refund?
For data harvesting reasons I'm a lot more okay with open weights AI than proprietary, and honestly, the people who are super duper into Grok, Claude, or GPT, rather than just 'i like it', give me the serious ick.
Elizabeth Holmes is like:
“The Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen?”
EH: “Yes.”
And crypto scammers be like "Arrgh! — You cursed brat! Look what you’ve done! I’m melting! Melting!"
A lot of people mistake running companies or being a leader in a company, (or even being the head minion), for being an actual leader of some kind. Hell, hollywood actors do it.
Seems really common as a kind of category error.
These people who try to do this, and kind of universally bad at it. Maybe even beyond terrible, like at the very edge of the pareto curve, incapable of semi-normal human interaction. And never realize such. Maybe some kind of personality disorder IDK.
The crazy thing is about this crash out, is the person they were replying to was literally just some kinda neutral party shib basically saying like 'hey that's a bit mean' about some other folks having an exchange.
And this wacko just unloads like his parents died or some shit.
