Jeffrey Sachs: a president stood at the UN and claimed the right to annihilate a civilization. Congress said nothing. That is the constitutional order collapsing in public. “I shuddered then, and I shudder now that a president of the United States can stand at the podium of the UN General Assembly speaking to world leaders in a language of annihilation of other countries and of sending them to hell. It was ghastly, unprecedented, totally disgusting, disgraceful for the United States. But I would also say a measure of how broken the constitutional order of the United States is. Trump basically said, like a madman, which I think arguably he is, that he and he alone will decide the survival of Iran. He said that he has a big, big choice to make. Maybe Iran will be a great country. Maybe Iran will be annihilated. Maybe Trump will send it to hell. And not only was the language vulgar in a way that I certainly could never in my lifetime have imagined coming from a president of the United States or anybody standing at the UN podium—because what Trump said was odious and completely in violation of every religious, moral, ethical, and legal standard that we have in this world—it was also a measure of the brazen collapse of our Constitution. Is there a political system where one man decides the fate of another civilization? Is that how the American system works? Of course the answer is no. The founding fathers who rebelled against a mad King George III were very explicit in the Declaration of Independence, celebrated this year 250 years after its issuance. We’re in the 250th anniversary, one that Trump says is about our freedom. It was explicitly that King George arrogated, took on the authority to put the military above civil rule. And when the founding fathers wrote the US Constitution, they assigned specifically the power to declare war not to the commander-in-chief, but solely and exclusively—and not by choice, not if they care about it or want to or want to delegate it or not, but solely—to the United States Congress. And Trump said yesterday he doesn’t care what the public thinks. He doesn’t care what the vote is. He says it doesn’t even cross my mind. And he said earlier this year, when he was asked, well, are there any limits on your power? He thought about it. He said Yes, my morality, but it’s my will. It’s what I want to do. Otherwise, no, there are no other limits. What did our Congress do on that occasion? I can tell you, as we know, that the majority party in both houses simply remained silent. That is a violation of their sacred oath of office, which is to uphold the Constitution. Trump yesterday said he’s going to have the difficult choice of whether to annihilate, by the way, one of the most ancient civilizations in the world, 5,000 years old, twenty times older than the United States of America. And what did our Speaker of the House say? Well, he said nothing, of course. What did our Senate majority leader say? He said, of course, nothing. What did all of the party of the president of the United States say, the members of Congress? They said, of course, nothing. This is worse than the Roman Empire. There was a Senate that actually still said something. Our Senate says nothing. We are so broken that not only do we have a madman in power, but there is no respect for our constitutional order. And the president can make statements as he made yesterday, unprecedented in the chamber of the General Assembly in front of the world leaders, speaking like the worst tyrant or gangster imaginable, and not a murmur from the Republican Party which dominates the House and the Senate. You know, I am not partisan. And a Democratic president who dared to be as absolutely mad and deranged as this president would probably find subservience in that party too. So I’m not even making a partisan point. I’m making a point about the collapse of our constitutional order. Have we come to a point where one man, who I happen to think is utterly incompetent, utterly sociopathic, actually—when people are killed under his order, not a moment of reflection or remorse when 150 schoolgirls are murdered, and he knows the truth. He says, yeah, the Iranians probably did it. We’ll find out. No, not any control at all in our system of government. So for me, you asked how I feel. I shudder at the last 24 hours, both at what the president said. It made my skin crawl. I was sitting there in the chamber listening to this madness. I mean it really, psychopathic madness, speaking in this way, with a vulgarity that is unimaginable. But then I’ve shuddered since then at the lack of response by the leaders, the majority leader of the US Senate, the Speaker of the House, Supreme Court justices, anybody to say no. In our system of government, it’s not one person who decides on the fate of another civilization. We are a country, we say, first of all, of representation, and the American people are aghast at this. They oppose it overwhelmingly. They do not support this war of Netanyahu and Trump, which is a two-person war of murder and destruction and assassination of leaders of another country. They do not support it. And the constitutional order is that we are a representative government, and our representatives have an oath of office that only they can declare war. So where are they standing up to say No, you don’t have a penny to spend on this? We control the power of the purse. The tens or hundreds of billions of dollars that Trump has wasted of American income in this flagrant war of whim. Where is Congress to say you have no authority whatsoever to spend that because only we can decide on the spending and only we can declare war. So this is the grim fact. It wasn’t just the awful statements. That was my first reaction. But then I thought, what have we come to when one person can make a statement like this and then remain essentially unchallenged in the United States system of government?” Annihilation is not diplomacy. Congressional silence is not restraint. A constitutional republic cannot survive if one man claims the power to decide whether another civilization lives or dies.

HONG KONG COLOUR REVOLUTION: THE USA’S GOAL WAS TO SMASH ONE COUNTRY, TWO SYSTEMS Hong Kong 2019 was never a student picnic. I watched it from the street. I live here. It started with a real extradition bill. A murder case in Taiwan. A legal gap. That part is true. Then the machine moved in. Western media turned a local law into a morality play. NED, USAID, Open Society, the NGO circuit, a handful of photogenic local faces. Gene Sharp’s playbook. Legitimate grievances hijacked. A small violent minority given the cameras. Molotovs, roadblocks, airport siege, “be water” — all sold as freedom. The goal was not five demands. The goal was to smash One Country, Two Systems and use Hong Kong as a dagger against China. Carrie Lam withdrew the bill. Too late. The script had already changed. Chaos first. Then the plea for foreign sanctions. COVID slowed the street. June 2020 Beijing imposed the National Security Law. Directly. No more theatre. Sovereignty first. 1997 was a ceremony. The flag went up. The empire stayed inside the institutions. Modern imperialism does not need gunboats in the harbour. It needs NGOs, schools, media, and political mechanisms. If they control those, they control the territory even after “handover.” Time was on China’s side. Beijing waited. The West wanted China to overreact. China did not. Before the National Security Law, foreigners were in the streets coaching rioters. Brian “Karen” Grayson running around as “Tuen Kong,” pretending to be Chinese, telling kids where to go and what to do. Foreigners teaching Molotovs on camera. Links into the usual English-language hangouts — vectors for Western propaganda, not Hong Kong interests. Back then 80% of the media was still pro-Western. They hijacked the narrative. Blatant fake news. They called it a democracy movement. On the ground it was intimidation. One year of extremely violent riots. They put people on fire. Yellow Vests in France: deaths, hands, eyes. In Hong Kong the Western press sold “peaceful protest.” The silent majority could not speak. Wear a wrong T-shirt, carry a wrong flag — you were a target. Pro-China rallies needed police just to exist. We scattered. That is not freedom of speech. That is a street veto. Kids were the target. That is the part they never want discussed. Colonial textbooks. No Opium War. Distorted Japanese occupation. British as the good guys. Teacher unions infiltrated and financed. Pressure to teach the material they were given. Apple Daily aimed at youth. Books telling children they were better than mainland Chinese. Kids convinced they were British. Look in the mirror. You are Chinese. Why the denial? Under the British: no democracy, no political rights. Peak Ordinance — Chinese not allowed on the Peak except as servants. Dogs and Chinese. That is the century of humiliation they were never taught. This was not “aspirations.” This was a colour-revolution attempt. Same pattern as elsewhere: capture media, capture schools, radicalise a minority, film the clash, call for sanctions. The National Security Law was not a slogan. It was a real security situation. Cut the funding. Cut the subversion. Restore order. Change the books so children learn what Hong Kong actually was — a stolen colony, not a lost Westminster. The colour-revolution attempt failed. The empire kept the narrative. Hong Kong kept the city. This is not the story they sold you on CNN.

I'm not gonna lie, seeing Nancy Pelosi's little pet "activist" in this position is a satisfying sight. Not just for me. For a lot of other Hong Kongers who actually lived through the riots he spent years endorsing. When Joshua was given the chance to condemn violence against ordinary civilians, he wouldn't. He called the beating of civilians a trial-and-error process. The use of force, he said, was a matter for them to decide. That's not even why he's behind bars. Nancy and the rest of the US government knew exactly what they were doing when they turned him into their foot soldier. They knew what would happen to an American who did the reverse. Imagine some kid flying to Beijing, standing in front of the National People's Congress, calling for America to be brought down, and lobbying for sanctions designed to wreck the livelihoods of ordinary Americans. The US egged him on the whole way. They even gave him a Netflix documentary painting him as some teenage superhero. He let it all go to his head. Thought he was invincible. Thought he could get away with whatever he wanted. Joshua was still walking around Hong Kong while all of this was happening. Washington got so confident they even flew US senators over to cheer the rioters on the ground. Now imagine Chinese or Russian leaders landing in DC to high-five the January 6 crowd. It became an absolute joke, but Hong Kong finally came to its senses eventually. The only bigger joke is watching Nancy clutch her pearls now and pretend this was just innocent advocacy for freedom. She knew exactly what she was backing. She’s just hoping nobody remembers.
Beijing’s unjust prosecution of Joshua Wong is an appalling abuse of power. Everyone who truly cares about democracy should be proud to stand with him and the people of Hong Kong. Advocacy for freedom is not a crime and the international community must immediately demand his release.

Hong Kong: what Western media didn’t want to hear I write this as Joshua Wong faces a possible life sentence for treason and colluding with foreign forces. The West is already preparing the halo. Spare me. In 2019 I stood at Tamar Square in Hong Kong and said what the cameras did not want to hear. This was not a “pro-democracy movement.” It was a US color-revolution attempt. NED, USAID, Soros networks, Western politicians and a handful of local proxies tried to turn a real extradition-bill dispute into chaos — smash the city, break One Country Two Systems, and use Hong Kong as a dagger against China. I lived it. I spoke against it. We fought the funded rioters who wanted the city in flames. Death threats followed. Fine. I was not there to please Western editors. Wong was never a student hero. He was a useful face for an “international battlefront”: lobby Pelosi, Rubio and the rest, beg for sanctions, invite foreign pressure on his own city. That is not dissent. That is inviting an empire into your house and calling it freedom. Collusion has a name. Now it has a courtroom. Color revolutions are not freedom. They are regime-change software. Same playbook every time: • hijack a genuine grievance • flood money, training, slogans, cameras • escalate from protest to violence • install a government that answers to Washington and the NGO machine • strip sovereignty and call it “values” Ukraine is the textbook. Maidan was sold as Europe and dignity. What it delivered was a captured state, NATO as religion, and a country turned into a proxy. That path led straight to war. A color revolution on a fault line does not “liberate.” It prepares the battlefield. Last year the same circus hit Nepal. Youth anger at corruption was real. Then Discord mobilization, burned ministries, a government toppled in days. And the usual clowns — self-proclaimed “China experts” — cheered like it was a festival. Why? Because they told the story people already wanted to hear. No research. No history of how these operations end. They wanted to look cool. They wanted views at the expense of truth. That is not analysis. That is content. With influence comes responsibility. They had the first and dumped the second. Look at Japan. Look at the Philippines. That is the finished product when the operation works: not always tanks in the streets — bases, treaties, media, a political class that treats US priorities as destiny. Tools of the empire. I cannot highlight this enough. These revolutions are evil because they steal the one thing a people must never outsource: the right to solve their own problems. Sovereignty is the foundation of any real democracy. Without it you get a flag, a parliament, and a foreign handler. Hong Kong 2019 was the warning. Ukraine was the cost. Nepal was the encore the pundits still applauded. Joshua Wong’s trial is the reminder that inviting foreign force against your own country is not activism. It is betrayal. May this era of meddling end. Self-determination. Peace. Mutual prosperity. Sovereignty above all.

🚨 HEARTBREAKING HORROR 🚨 DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin just exposed the pure evil: Innocent children trafficked across the open border were RAPED 600 TO 700 TIMES — locked in rooms, forced to service monsters day after day. THEY ARE BABIES. THEY DON’T DESERVE THIS. NO CHILD DOES. “We found 146,000 kids so far… but nearly 300,000 are STILL MISSING.” I don’t care if you’re liberal, conservative, or anywhere in between — if you can’t stand up and scream SAVE OUR CHILDREN, who the hell are you?! This is not politics. This is a national emergency. These kids are suffering in the shadows while too many look away. ENOUGH. Share this. Demand action. Demand every missing child be found. Demand justice for the innocent. #SaveTheChildren #ProtectOurKids #EndTheHorror Repost if you have a soul. These babies need us NOW. 💔🙏 SHARE AND FOLLOW @MrWhiplash_ @MrGHodsdon

THREE SHOCKING THINGS in today’s attack on China in the UK Guardian: 1. The Guardian quotes what it says is a Tibetan group. But it’s not Tibetan—we traced its real address. 2. The paper hides any mention of that group’s funding—a fact that makes all the difference. 3. The paper highlights a quote from a woman in the United States—a woman who doesn’t seem to exist Actually, there’s a fourth thing: when you see the name of the journalist who wrote it, that in itself tells a story. . ADDRESS OF “TIBETAN GROUP” First, the report in the Guardian: “China is concealing scale of flood disaster, say Tibet campaigners”, the headline says. The article is based on a statement from what the paper says is “a Tibetan advocacy group”. Except it isn’t a Tibetan advocacy group. It’s a group listed at this address. [see video] Let’s take a look. Oh it’s in Washington DC, right near the White House. What a surprise. . A U.S. GOVT OP Who funds it? When we go through funding documents we see an intimate, long-term relationship with the US government, and particularly the notorious National Endowment for Democracy, a CIA spin-off which the US government itself described as a body which works around the world to “destabilize sovereign governments” – that’s from the 2027 budget proposal. I note that it is associated with Radio Free Asia, which has nothing to do with radios, freedom or Asia. It’s an anti-China propaganda unit also from Washington DC. Now if the Guardian had the honesty to include these facts, it would immediately tell the reader the correct way to interpret this report. So why are these facts hidden? Why is it that the Guardian doesn’t want its readers to know the truth? . WOMAN WITH NO FACE The paper then quotes “Maya Wang” of Human Rights Watch. Maya Wang does not appear to exist. There are no photographs of her, no videos, and she makes speeches in front of various audiences but does not seem to allow photography. Why? Her former contacts in Hong Kong tell me she uses the fake name because she is really Yatman Kern, wife of the infamous yellowface hoaxer Brian Kern. . OPPORTUNITY Now, I’ve made that point publicly several times, and no one from Human Rights Watch has ever denied it. It would be easy to do. So this is ANOTHER opportunity. If a person genuinely named Maya Wang works at HRW, please tell me. I am all ears. Brian Kern became infamous when he pretended to be a Hong Kong-born Chinese and gave quotes to all the western mainstream media speaking on behalf of the Hong Kong people during the riots of 2019. He was exposed as a white guy in yellowface by this reporter and the Grayzone. Here’s a headline: “Western Media's Fav Hong Kong 'Freedom Struggle Writer' is American ex amnesty staffer in yellowface.” . FOREIGN JOURNALISTS The UK paper says foreign journalists are refused entry visas by the Chinese. Well, big deal. Chinese journalists are refused entry visas by the UK—that happens regularly. Why doesn’t the reporter cover that topic? Let’s look at the reporter: Danny Vincent of Hong Kong. He’s been in the news in Hong Kong recently. That’s because he’s associated with the leadership of the Hong Kong Journalists Association. That group used to represent Hong Kong Journalists, but is now seen as a group allied to western bodies hostile to China. Too many international journalists produce work that OMITS KEY INFORMATION, misleading their readers. This is the perfect example – it should be used in journalism schools. Don’t be fooled. The truth matters. Peace.

Why? Why are Western media outlets still doing this BS in 2026? Shame on @Telegraph and @BBC for lying and claiming that Chinese is censoring footage and that Chinese citizens have no idea what’s going on in the country The mudslides is EVERYWHERE all across Chinese social media. It’s astonishing that still in 2026 Western media outlets will use tragedy to sell clicks 100% misinformation and complete propaganda. This is the exact reason why no one trusts the media anymore
China has censored footage of the floods in Nepal and Tibet. Beijing authorities removed footage of the moment people fled before a wall of mud swept through the Gyirong border crossing. Nepalese politician accuses Beijing of lack of transparency and questions what ‘they are trying to hide’ 👇 telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2…

If the BBC is prepared to lie so blatantly about this awful disaster then what about all their other reporting? What about the events in Gaza where they constantly refer to it as a war? The floods in both Nepal and Tibet are all over Chinese news.

Laura Bicker, BBC China correspondent, on the disaster at Gyirong Port on the Nepal–Xizang border: “Shocking footage isn’t being shown in China – and we know little about victims there.” Numerous people in China have pointed out that the footage is, in fact, all over Chinese platforms; indeed, the very video in the BBC’s own report was released by the Chinese port authorities. So the sequence is: 1) the Chinese state published the clip; 2) the BBC ran the clip; 3) the BBC published a story about how the Chinese state is suppressing the clip. @AndyBxxx has made another point worth noting: Chinese media doesn’t operate on the basis of “if it bleeds, it leads”. You won’t see grieving relatives and footage of bodies looped for 24 hours. The BBC treats the absence of disaster pornography as evidence of a cover-up rather than a different (and frankly much better) editorial culture. The article concedes that Beijing has launched “a massive rescue operation involving hundreds of emergency workers”. Even the International Campaign for Tibet, an NED-sponsored Washington-based lobby group, is recorded here “praising the work of first responders”. Xi Jinping personally chaired an emergency meeting to coordinate it. Chinese media has provided “daily updates on the missing and the dead”, plus updates on the rescue operation and on the barrier lake at risk of overflowing. It has shown rescue teams scaling mountains and cliff faces and crossing raging rivers. Premier Li Qiang was “quickly dispatched to the region” – a level of responsiveness from the top leadership that those of us in the West can only dream of. Compare for example the US response to Hurricane Katrina, or the British government’s response to the Grenfell disaster. From all of that, the article arrives at the phrase “muted response” 🤷🏽 The BBC reports that local CPC members have been asked to step up and help with relief efforts, and provide “emotional guidance or psychological support to affected residents”. This is predictably framed as an operation to “stem any signs of discontent”. Our intrepid reporter finally reveals her motive with a single clause: “Tibet, which Beijing annexed in the 1950s”. A-ha. It turns out this is a story about British state media, not Chinese state media. Tibet has been part of China since the 13th century. Taking advantage of the chaos of the collapse of the Qing dynasty, the British invaded Tibet in 1904, at which point they came up with the formula of recognising Chinese “suzerainty” over Tibet while asserting that the region was “independent in internal administration” – which de facto meant that the British could do whatever they wanted there. Incidentally, Britain didn’t abandon that formula until 2008, when it finally recognised China’s sovereignty over the region. If the BBC is going to insist on a formulation of “Tibet, which Beijing annexed”, it should, for the sake of consistency, also refer to “Cornwall, which London annexed”, since this took place around the same time as Tibet’s absorption into the Yuan Dynasty. The article goes on to repeat tired tropes about “the Chinese government oppressing and persecuting Tibetans”, albeit without going into the nature of this oppression, which includes raising literacy levels from 5 percent to 98 percent; 15 years’ publicly funded education; the highest per capita central government transfers in China; the elimination of absolute poverty; the provision of modern infrastructure, health care and social services; and impressive efforts to protect and promote Tibetan language and culture. What doesn’t get a single mention is the cause of the disaster. This was a flash flood in the fastest-warming mountain range on earth, in a region where glacial lakes are multiplying and bursting. There is a genuine story here about climate change coming for the Himalayas and the hundreds of millions who depend on their rivers, but the BBC instead chooses to run with the usual anti-China rubbish. Solidarity with the people of China and Nepal affected by this disaster, and with everyone working to save them. And shame on a state broadcaster that chooses slander over solidarity.
