If only he and the other GOP Senators used their constitutional authority to change Trump's treacherous behavior instead of complaining politely to the media and on Twitter.

As I wrote over a year ago, it would only take a handful of GOP Senators to stand up to Trump and grind his agenda to a halt until he ceased his actions against Ukraine and on behalf of Russia. Instead, they tweeted and signed letters that Trump ignored. Do something.
Reminder: Thom Tillis, John Cornyn, and Bill Cassidy are all current sitting Senators. They have the ability to do more than complain and put out statements. If they don’t act now, when they have real power, I don’t want to see them on TV in four months opining.

Now we can say it definitively. Elon Musk donated $158M to SLF. SLF donated $158M to Texas PAC. SLF is Texas PAC's only donor. Elon Musk is singlehandedly funding Texas PAC, which is boosting Ken Paxton.

🎯 Tone-policing Zelenskyy, or any Ukrainian, while their people are in their 5th year of being murdered by Russia is revolting. If Trump doesn’t want to be criticized for siding with Putin, he can stop siding with Putin. Appeasing and flattering him has failed. Pick a side.
By making it clear to people like you that Trump is no friend of Ukraine, and is giving relief not just to the Russians, but the Iranians as well who are armed and supported by our own money now. People like you give Trump cover “he’s just getting bad advice (like he’s some helpless child)” Or “ya but Biden….” Clearly you don’t get it. And you don’t understand that history will not forget. There will be a special place in history for those who knew better, but desperately tried to stay in MAGAs good graces.

Every Ukrainian knows Trump is Putin's dog.
Just walking outside thinking about the fuckery of it all... We are the poorest country in Europe that has been denied self determination for centuries, occupied, plundered and leveled time and time again. We are fighting against the biggest empire right now, Russia, fully backed by a global superpower, China, plus Iran and also assisted by THE superpower now, the US. We are your fucking anti imperialist champions 🙂 But non of the so called "anti imperialists" give a single fuck.

The idea of this is not to bring diesel prices down. The idea is to stop Ukraine from striking russian refinaries and safe russian energy sector. Now every strike on russian refinaries by Ukraine will be treated as attack on American energy supply.

Happy 85th birthday to Brian Lamb. In 1979, he founded C-SPAN with the idea that the public should be able to watch government at work without a journalist telling them what to think about it. The network brought Americans unprecedented, uninterrupted coverage of congressional proceedings. It also gave ordinary citizens the opportunity to question politicians and public figures directly through live call-in programs. Lamb also created Booknotes, where he spent an hour each week interviewing the author of a nonfiction book. Over 15 years, he conducted more than 800 interviews, reading every book himself (not every host does, or should, do this). In the 1980s, a young congressman named Newt Gingrich recognized the power of the cameras. He and his Republican allies delivered speeches attacking Democrats, often to a nearly empty House chamber, knowing Americans were watching at home. House Speaker Tip O’Neill became so frustrated that in 1984 he ordered the cameras to show the empty chamber, exposing the tactic. It was an early demonstration of how television could be used not just to document politics but to shape it. The opportunities for political theater were real, but they were far outweighed by what Lamb gave the public. A chance to see and hear its government firsthand. The idea of watching government at work becomes more complicated when so little governing is getting done, as has been the case for years. That’s hardly Brian Lamb’s fault. He gave the public a window into Washington. What they see through it is another matter.

Pure fantasy. We know Putin is lying because he lies about everything. Unfortunately, the same goes for Trump, who is desperate to look like he’s doing something before the midterms about the spike in fuel prices he caused by attacking Iran.
BREAKING: Trump: I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter. Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel. Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST! Lower prices for Americans, especially our Great Farmers, Ranchers, and Truckers, is my Greatest Priority. This is a very big and important announcement. Additionally, it must be understood, that Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon! Thank you for your attention to this matter.

So this is how Trump is using his new sanction powers in the Lindsey Graham law. Deeply disappointing, but not at all surprising: Trump says US to get diesel from Russia, relaxing pressure on Moscow to ease prices before midterms apnews.com/article/trump-rus…

1. Russia doesn't have the diesel to send. 2. Trump taking sanctions off Russian diesel with not affect the US at all. 3. It only serves to protect Putin's oil industry from Ukraine.

WARNOCK to NH residents: Who has taxed you the most? It's a man sitting at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I want you to tell your Republican, independent, and Democratic friends. Regardless of where you are on the political spectrum, Donald Trump, through his tariffs, has put taxes on everything.

Peace never comes through weakness. Today, representatives of the U.S. Congress were in Kyiv – a bipartisan delegation – and I am grateful to them for visiting Ukraine at such a difficult time. They asked: what is needed to end the war? The answer must be strong. There must be sanctions under the Lindsey Graham bill, there must be support for Ukraine in protecting lives, and there must be pressure on Russia for its war. And today, there was a conversation between the leaders of America and Russia. A conversation that leads to something different. Recently, there was a European decision to lift sanctions on Russian oligarchs. Since then, Russian strikes and the torment of people have only increased. This past week alone, there was a brutal Russian missile strike on a residential building in Pryluky, aerial bombs were dropped on Kramatorsk – on ordinary city buses – and there have been constant attacks on Kyiv’s energy infrastructure and on the life-sustaining infrastructure in Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, and our other cities. Dozens of people have been killed and hundreds wounded. The Russians are compensating for their inability to achieve their objectives on the battlefield with this kind of terror. This year, Russia is weaker on the battlefield than at any other point in the war. That is why Putin is relying on terror. That is why he is relying on attempts to strike backroom deals to secure some form of pressure relief for Russia, in order to buy more time and more opportunities for war. Any easing of sanctions against Russia without a clear and lasting de-escalation agreement with Russia is an obvious weakness. It plays into Russia’s hands – allowing it to kill more, wage war for longer, have even less respect for America, and inflict even greater losses and damage on the world. Ukraine is ready to take symmetrical de-escalatory steps, and the American team knows our position. Our strikes on Russian oil refineries and other oil facilities are a response to Russia’s years-long campaign of terror against Ukraine’s energy sector. Ukraine will not set Russian oil refineries on fire if Russia does not destroy our energy infrastructure. This is the kind of agreement we are proposing to America, and we believe the United States has enough power to achieve such a compromise. Gifts to Putin will not bring peace or any benefit to the civilized world. Russia will “repay” the diesel with further terror and perfidy. Allowing Russia to sell petroleum products is an investment in a war that must be ended, not prolonged. What is needed is real de-escalation with Russia on a reciprocal basis. We count on America’s fair support for our defense of life, for our defense of people in Ukraine – and on the United States having a correspondingly strong conversation with Russia. A strong one, not a weak one.
