It's obviously impossible to retrospectively give a team access to a competition that has finished. I'm not sure giving the title to the second place is necessary, but some form of recognition is needed yes, they competed against a team that had an unfair advantage. They cheated.

Nonsense, City had players like Elano, Dunne, Hamann before the dodgy cash turned up. Are we supposed to pretend it's just a coincidence they started winning after suddenly buying Robinho, Tevez, De Bruyne, Aguero etc?

He was a player, his opinion is irrelevant. It's not like he played on a Saturday and then helped out in the accounts department Monday to Thursday 馃ぃ

Yes that's right, Utd were one of the biggest club in the world. Winning competitions, bigger stadium, more fans and had been quick to monetise their position. City were mid table and struggling, of course they had less money to spend. That doesn't justify what they did.

You are deluded if you think the premier league needs City. The EPL was fine before City had their billionaire owners and will be even better when they are gone.

They still wouldn't be paying the same premium as they were. There will be less competition so fees would be lower. Regardless of the punishment they get, this will impact their appeal to sponsors.
Taking away the trophies shouldn't take into account their players or fans. It's about the teams that were cheated out of glory, sporting and financial. You aren't just taking the trophy from City, you are giving the other teams the respect and rewards they were cheated out of.

Also Everton were open to the investigation, worked with the league and apologised. City have been obstructive, denied all responsibility and have shown no remorse. So you should double the deduction you calculated 馃榿
Why can't they afford it? It existed long before City got a bunch of dodgy cash and it will exist for a long time after.
Why? Surely it's the other way round, if they don't punish they are basically green lighting every other billionaire to do whatever the chuff they want. If they've been cheating, they should get punished. This is sport, it needs to be fair.
Yes of course we would. Are you seriously so deluded that you think the only reason people like the Premier League is Man City? It was a great league before they started cheating and it will be even better when they are relegated.

My Dad and Grandad were United fans so I was told I was a fan since birth. But in 1998 a kid at school convinced me I should be a Villa fan. I told my dad that evening and he sternly told me that wasn't happening. Then utd won the treble and there's never been a doubt since.

The US has private healthcare but their government pays more per person on healthcare than the UK. And then everyone also has to pay for health insurance on top. Why would you want that?
Replying to @helderfigs
Because if you get 10 points from Haaland and everyone else does too then you don't get ahead in the league, you just stand still.

That's not what a medical is. It's not focusing on a current temporary injury. It's looking holistically, are there underlying issues or concerns that might impact on future performance and valaue. A twisted ankle that will recover in a couple of weeks would not be a major factor
