My bad for not giving any updates in a while. Deadlock got me again. At this point I'm wishing for a 10 loss streak to get me to quit again so i can get the hell back to work. honestly its even better than when i stopped playing way back when there were still 4 lanes.
im making a little diorama to get better at environments but also to test if the props i made fit in the scene and so we can also mess around with what we are trying to make the game look like.
progress. this ones takin a bit longer than the previous models but its obvious why. i do think its coming out well despite some quite rough parts.
Next im workin on the moddle for the Tri pod so im currently drawing its inside for when you break the armor. then gotta make the turn around.

quick update on what im currently workin on
update on the design of Veruses homunculi or gargoyle soldiers. im trying to figre out what they look like when the armor breaks.
next new gun. Belton repeater inspired wheellock/port fire lock? with some extra little quirks. so the wheel lock part of it is only used to ignite the port fire and you use a damn chainsaw like rip cord to spark the wheel lol. i love it its very silly but cool as well i think
incase you are wondering how i texture these models. I break them down ahead of time so i can just project from view everything onto the model straight from their turn around. and i dont have to draw a separate texture sheet. so the turn around just doubles as the textures as wel
ive made an abomination of a firearm, Its the first time i think I've managed to capture the weird blend of time periods ive been trying to create, previously ive only managed to drawn flintlocks that look like they came out of the flint lock age, -
perhaps its because i haven't tried drawing a flintlock mechanism that doesn't exist until now.
this is a mag fed almost fully automatic flintlock. Almost because you dont hold down a trigger to fire but instead work the crank.-
