I'm kinda excited about the new "deduced this" feature in C++-23. Good talk here: youtube.com/watch?v=caXxUi_l…

Efficient usage of scarce resources, like bandwidth and RAM makes software more accessible. I’m very proud of the @Ripple C++ team for contributing code to rippled that slashes memory usage by 50%! Read all about radix trees, memory allocators, tagged pointers, bits and bytes!
Learn how Ripple’s C++ team cut rippled's memory usage to less than half! on.ripple.com/375vwG2

Experimental implementation of C++ pattern matching (wg21.link/P1371) is available on Compiler Explorer! A silly fizz buzz example: godbolt.org/z/fdd5j4 Thank you to @brunosy for the on-going implementation work and @lenary for the Compiler Explorer deployment. #cpp

I've always pronounced Emmy Noether's last name "no-either". TIL it's "noter": youtube.com/watch?time_conti… If you don't know about her, she's awesome: wikiwand.com/en/Emmy_Noether

This does look like a fun board to play with. The obligatory plug: if you’re working on stereo vision, depth perception and computer vision, take a look at the DUO3D: professional grade device with excellent #OpenCV compatibility and a powerful SDK. duo3d.com
I've been a @newegg customer for a long time; never had a problem, but they dropped the ball today by refusing to RMA a $1,000 DOA item because I accidentally discarded the original packaging. They are following their policy which is OK but policies should have some flexibility.

This _almost_ worked. But when the nut gets lower it loses it. I can also put the nut in the twits handle, but it has the same issue.

(I'm away from home, in an apartment without any tools). This _almost_ worked too. It's a bottle opener with a wine opener wedged in.
