Playoff season, taking a little down time today to enjoy this time of the year. It is a privilege to qualify for the NDHSAA playoffs. I never take it for granted, it’s cyclical for us and we sure are enjoying this run we’ve been on. #Onetown

Interesting fact: A high school football game has 48 minutes on the clock. But a study found the average play lasts just 5.6 seconds. At 130 plays, that’s roughly 12 minutes of actual action between BOTH teams. Months in the weight room. Summer heat. Film. Practice. All for opportunities measured in literal seconds. And you don’t know which 5.6 seconds will decide the game. That backside block you took off? The pursuit you cut short because somebody else would get him? That might’ve been it.

There are too many schools that don’t belong in AA. Right now 16 in AAA and 10 in AA would help top 2 divisions. (South as largest AA school) It does not fix it. Look at the ratios in each division. AA has the largest disparity. Need committee without agenda to discuss.

When will @NDHSAA attempt to fix the football problem in the state. 10 teams petitioning down to 9 man is a problem. The state is ready for 2 9 man divisions. Let’s get together as a state and fix this.

We have a problem in high school football in North Dakota. When we have 10 11 man Class A teams petition down to 9 man ball. This is wrong and we are beating a dead horse in the state. The state needs 2 divisions of 9 man football and we need to eliminate petitioning down classes

Muting Collinsworth makes watching the Seahawks so much more enjoyable. Listening to him is like finger nails on a chalk board.

Last weekend of the “summer” game week next week. Not a better way to enjoy this Saturday evening than with a fire and the king of the limes. @SchellsBerwery

Time to relax and do nothing for a week. Cold beers, family, lake time, and just not have an agenda…before we get into the football season. #Ottertaillake
