Protocol Version 11 adds constant-time array indexing, native Value handling, faster list traversal, and new cryptographic primitives.
Built-ins now work across Plutus V1, V2, and V3. Transaction shape stays the same.

The van Rossem hard fork has been successfully enacted on Cardano Mainnet! 🎉
We would like to take a moment to recognise the work of the Hard Forking Working Group to get us to this moment. Coordinating ecosystem partners, SPOs, DApps, developers and exchanges, across multiple networks to ensure a safe Mainnet event.
We would also like to thank DReps, SPOs and CC members for voting to ratify the hard fork initiation action. The first hard fork that DReps have been able to vote on, in addition to SPOs and the CC.

The 'van Rossem' hard fork (Protocol Version 11) is enacted on Cardano Mainnet! A first for Cardano: a network upgrade proposed, voted on, and ratified entirely through on-chain governance, with DReps, SPOs, and the Constitutional Committee all participating.
What this brings to the ecosystem:
🔵 Lower Smart Contract Costs: Essential updates that make executing Plutus dApps cheaper and more efficient for builders.
🔵 Roadmap to Scalability: Critical structural and technical groundwork for the upcoming Dijkstra era and Ouroboros Leios.
A massive thank you to the DReps, SPOs, and Constitutional Committee who voted, as well as the Hard Fork Working Group, tool builders, infra maintainers, and exchanges who upgraded their systems to coordinate a seamless transition. 🤝
