There are a lot of things He gives without you asking. Like waking up everyday, protection from unseen disasters, journey mercies everyday, safe delivery of children…if you count your blessings you will see that He always gives solutions without you asking. Prayer wasn’t meant to be a solution requisition form. It is a relational act. That is what draws us close to Him so we can know His will. Sometimes it is through your prayer that you can even know that what you are asking for might not even be what you need at the moment. Prayer brings peace. So maybe the problem is that we view prayer only as a means to get from God. If we view it more as a way to talk to our father whom we love then it becomes less burdensome and transactional. It’s like a child who always talks to his father and doesn’t wait for school fees season, it becomes much more easier to ask for things. Because a relationship has been built that is much more that “what solution can you give me”. I hope this helps
