Do you feel so small as an African president that you rush to meet the son of another nation’s president when he visits your country for a vacation and post the photo on social media ? Think about it for a moment. Do you truly believe that if your own child were to spend a holiday in the United States, Donald Trump would interrupt his plans to come and greet them? Dear African leaders : Respect Yourselves!
We were delighted to meet @DonaldJTrumpJr during his private vacation in Zambia where he experienced the beauty of our country. We conveyed our warm regards to his father, US President @realDonaldTrump and affirmed our commitment to fostering enhanced US-Zambia relations.

1/3 - Ethiopian doctors, some earning just US$56 a month, protested last month. Over 150 were arrested. Last year striking doctors in Kenya rejected a govt offer of US$550 of monthly wages - demanding nearly triple that figure, almost 20 times what most Ethiopian doctors earn. No Kenyan doctors were arrested.

Over the weekend, I uncovered a photo of an elderly Palestinian man being used as a human shield by Israeli troops in Jabalia. Forced to dress in IDF military uniform
Days ago, [@alaafromgaza92] interviewed him — a powerful and deeply moving story.

African countries only fund about 15% of the AU's annual budget. The remaining 85% is donated from the EU, multilateral organisations (U.S. government with extra steps), and to a lesser extent, China.
That's why the AU passport was supposed to launch on Janurary 1, 2014, and 11 years later nobody knows what happened to it. The AU works for who funds it. Not for you.
Replying to @DavidHundeyin
...good point about sovereignty, but African governments and the AU itself must remain resolute and steadfast in protecting Africa's interests. Otherwise, Africa as an "emerging market " is doomed, including the nascent "AfCFTA" initiative.

One of the worst and most dehumanizing genres of IDF soldiers' "genocide fun" posts is when they mock photos that random genocide victims left behind when they were uprooted or murdered.

Attention all Kenyan citizens planning to travel to the United States:
We have received reports of a recent attempt on the life of former U.S. President and current presidential candidate Donald Trump. While we understand that many of you may have planned trips to the U.S. for business, pleasure, or to visit family, we must advise you to reconsider your travel plans at this time.
The U.S. is currently experiencing heightened political tensions, and the safety of our citizens abroad is of utmost importance. We recommend exercising increased caution if you do decide to travel to the U.S., especially in areas where political rallies or events may be taking place.
Please be aware that the U.S. government has issued a travel advisory for its own citizens, warning them of potential risks in certain areas of the country. As a result, we must advise you to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure your safety.
If you do decide to travel to the U.S., we recommend the following:
1. Avoid large crowds and political gatherings
2. Stay informed about local news and events
3. Follow the advice of local authorities
4. Keep your travel documents and personal belongings secure
5. Have a contingency plan in place in case of an emergency
We understand that this advisory may cause inconvenience and disappointment for those with travel plans to the U.S., but the safety and well-being of our citizens must come first.
Please stay tuned for further updates and advisories as the situation develops.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

#KenyaOnMyMind
When Citizens collectively tell Leaders that they are tired of suffering and have had enough of the adverse impact of policies and governance, the thing to NEVER do is use brutal force and power of the State to confront them.
Such repression erodes Legitimacy badly.
Dear President @WilliamsRuto , please pull back from the use of force against your citizens who are protesting Public Policy through the #rejectFinancebill2024 campaigns.
No more killings of protesters.
It is time to engage them in a Problem-Solving Dialogue.
Please. ✍🏾✍🏾✍🏾
Shout out to all our Kenyan brothers and sisters in the collective fight for improved quality of life. May your effort build your Nation for all Kenyans to thrive and live prosperously and peacefully.
