It’s not just about Ukraine when Trump, Putin and Xi talk to one another.
It is highly likely that they will also discuss how Trump can remain president for the rest of his life – just as Putin has done in Russia.
If the United States of America were to reform its system of immunity, it would be a blessing for the whole world and there would be fewer such scoundrels. Would America and the world be prepared to implement this? If not, democracy could be lost worldwide.

Ten years ago today.
In just the last few days: Trump made a deal for the U.S. to buy Russian diesel, an economic lifeline for Putin; he and Elon Musk blamed each other for an order that slowed down Starlink satellite connectivity over Ukraine, hampering the country's defenses during a devastating Russian attack; and Trump waived sanctions on Russia that Congress, led by his late friend Lindsey Graham, had pushed for.
Now, Putin has proposed a summit with Trump and Xi to decide Ukraine’s fate for them, bulldoze a century of international cooperation, and frame Russia as an equal to the U.S. and China.
We’ll see if Putin’s puppet continues to dance on his strings.

Aber das hat nichts mit dem zu tun, was da draußen im Schlamm und in der Kälte abläuft. Während wir hier unsere Meinungen tippen, tragen andere die absolute Hauptlast – Männer und Frauen, die nichts anderes wollen als endlich wieder Frieden, während sie jeden Morgen nicht wissen, ob sie den Abend erleben.
Wenn man das einmal verstanden hat, schaut man ganz anders auf all die vermeintlichen Einblicke, die uns den ganzen Tag vorgesetzt werden.

Das wirkt auf mich wie ein Versuch, die Verantwortung bei Musk abzuladen. Trump bestreitet, die Drosselung angeordnet zu haben. Ob er davon wusste, sie billigte oder bewusst laufen liess, bleibt damit offen.
Laut Bericht sprechen beide über die Ukraine. Da reicht ein „Ich habe den Auftrag nicht gegeben“ als Erklärung ziemlich wenig. Wer Einfluss auf lebenswichtige Verbindungen hat, muss auch für die Folgen geradestehen

Ich möchte betonen, dass ich eine ähnliche Auffassung bereits zum Ausdruck gebracht habe.
Die CDU/CSU könnte man als eher unternehmerisch ausgerichtet betrachten, was möglicherweise auf eine gewisse Form von Demokratiefeindlichkeit schließen lassen könnte.
Die Entscheidung für diese CDU könnte möglicherweise dazu führen, dass hoffentlich sie an Bedeutung verliert.
