Reminder: Thom Tillis, John Cornyn, and Bill Cassidy are all current sitting Senators. They have the ability to do more than complain and put out statements. If they don’t act now, when they have real power, I don’t want to see them on TV in four months opining.

Brilliant video from Kansas Governor Laura Kelly talking about her "constituent" Zach Lahn, the Republican running for governor of IOWA who actually lives in Kansas. One of the most brutal political owns I've ever seen. Kudos to all involved.

This.
Sure you can separate a player from geopolitics if the player has nothing to do with it. That’s not the case here. I wish it was. But it’s not, @bradcsmith
And this isn’t about politics. This is about a brutal, genocidal war. Actually and literally. Ovechkin could have stayed silent- like most Russian players in the NHL. Instead he proactively and prolifically supports Putin, his regime and (this is important) uses his celebrity and godlike status to help convince the Russian people that the war on Ukraine is justified and killing Ukrainians is necessary. That’s not politics. That’s blood on his hands. And he didn’t have to do this. He could have stayed silent. He didn’t. He started the western version of a super pac called Putin Team. He made posters of himself holding a sign saying essentially Putin was saving the world from Fascism by killing Ukrainians. He stood with Lavrov weeks ago as he say they’ll kill anyone who comes for them (ie Ukrainians who are defensively attacking).
This has nothing to do with his politics. I could give a shit about his politics. This has to do with his active role in this war. Would you understand it better if we swapped Putin’s name for Hitler? Or Hamas?
It’s an unfortunate truth that he’s an exceptional hockey player. It makes it awkward. But he’s still the bad guy here. He’s not just a hockey player. He’s an active member of the war team. No one does propaganda better than the Russians. And as long as they have the hearts and minds of their people they’ll keep slaughtering Ukrainians.

It’s official! With its stance, the @NHL has decided to serve as an advertisement for Russia’s imperialist war into the 2026–27 season as well. For the fifth consecutive year, the NHL’s position will help prolong 🇷🇺 war, leading to the deaths of far more people. Please share this!

In September alone, Russia killed 10 children (9 of whom are in the photo) in its terrorist attacks. Ovechkin publicly supports his country—even appearing in videos with the criminals responsible!Yet the @NHL still wants to let him perform publicly on its ice.Through this (cont.)

Two classless acts in college football today.
One player leaves Oregon’s QB motionless and headed to the hospital, while he celebrates.
Another gets a sack and pretends to pull his pants down and urinate.
Seriously.
Play the game.
And coaches: LEAD - throw them out.

After initially claiming it was 16K, DHS sent Nevada a list of 185 people it claimed were noncitizens illegally registered to vote, and every single one of them turned out to be a US citizen. DHS certainly isn't too concerned about disenfranchising Americans.

Notice the text at the bottom, “paid for by the US government”.
Why the hell is the US government and our taxpayers paying for Trump political ad on Fox News?
This is fantastic!
