"Comrades, you might think it is very difficult to wage a liberation struggle. Wait until you are in power. I might be dead by then. At that stage, you will realize that it is actually more difficult to keep the power than to wage a liberation war. People will be expecting a lot of services from you. You will have to satisfy the various demands of the masses of our people. In the process, be prepared to learn from other people's revolutions. Learn from the enemy also. The enemy is not necessarily doing everything wrongly. You may take his right tactics and use them to your advantage. At the same time, avoid repeating the enemy's mistakes" - O.R Tambo, 1977. You may have noticed that the word for ‘night’ in many languages appears to be that language’s word for ‘eight’ with an ‘N' in front of it.
English: N + eight = Night
German: N + acht = Nacht
French: N + huit = Nuit
Spanish: N + ocho = Noche
Italian: N + otto = Notte

This morning, we were on a mission to beautify Soshanguve.
We planted trees and hoisted the South African flag 🇿🇦 along the R80 entrance into Soshanguve.
From planting trees to restoring the appearance of our public spaces, we are turning Tshwane Green and building a Capital City that we can all be proud to call home🌳🇿🇦.

So what are you marching for?
Call an ANC meeting. Talk to each other. Go to work and fix this.
Stop playing politics.
[WATCH] Tonight, we marched to the Kempton Park Police Station alongside women who are demanding something that should never have to be demanded: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫
Our streets, homes and communities cannot continue being places of fear for women.

The Periodic Table Symbol for lead is 'Pb,' which comes from the Latin 'plumbum,' meaning "lead."
Early pipes were made of lead, so people who worked with pipes became 'plumbers.'

The name Lake Ontario comes from the Wendat word Ontari’io, which, appropriately, means “the lake is beautiful, the lake is big”.
The name is more than 400 years old, predating both the Confederation of Canada and the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.
We know that America is changing. Their trading relationships, their foreign policies, their national monuments, their hydronyms.
Canadians also know that naming reality means calling it Lake Ontario – then, now and always.

In Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, to give a keynote address at the Let her grow women’s Cup of tea. So excited to finally meet the vivacious @bobombele
The positive energy & liveliness are simply electrifying.
Here they are voicing the line that has become part of our shared lexicon: “Ilwa ntombo.”
A moment of pure, infectious spirit.
