> be obama 2008 > "we need border security" > "marriage is between a man and a woman" > "illegal immigration hurts american workers" > win women by historic margins > be conservative 2026 > say exact same things > "far-right hate movement" > women flee in terror the overton window moved, not the right. modern republicans would be democrats 20 years ago and radicals 60 years ago. a decade of censorship shifted both parties leftward. hanania, of course, is wrong. he thinks this is a messaging problem when it's an incentives problem. two things happened: the definition of "hateful" expanded to include positions that were mainstream democrat 15 years ago and women lean towards what *feels* less hateful single women benefit disproportionately from expanded government. the state becomes the provider when men can't or won't voting patterns track marital status almost perfectly. married women vote like men, single women vote for more government the "hate" framing is downstream rationalization of economic interest you cant message your way past incentive structures

I'm begging people to understand these are not "protest groups", they are unregulated but very well organized militias The DOJ needs to bring RICO charges on any organization that funnels money to them
In a training manual for the group that Reneé Good was reportedly involved with, it says the lowest level of risk out all the tactics is to totally surround the officers and block them and their vehicles.

Now we know why nursing homes in Minnesota have such high Election Day turnout and vote 90% Democrat.
Replying to @ScottPresler
Yes, Minnesota Statutes 201.061, subd. 3, allows employees of residential facilities to vouch for an unlimited number of residents for proof of residence during Election Day registration, if they prove employment. Regular voters are limited to eight vouchers.

As we discover Somalians ripping us off for billions… What % of the population pays % of Federal Income Taxes? White: 59% pays 70%-75% Hispanic: 19% pays 10%-12% Black: 13% pays 6%-8% Asian: 6% pays 8%-10% Other: 3% pays 4%-6% This the “white privilege” the Left cries about?

My sister is a former trauma surgeon and I was introduced to this fact years ago. The murder rate went down not for a lack of shootings but because we got much better at treating gunshot wounds. That's why the real question should be "what is your attempted murder rate." The answer in the U.S. is terrible.
"Murder rates would be up to five times higher than they are but for medical developments over the past 40 years...Without this technology, there would be no less than 50,000 and as many as 115,000 homicides annually instead of an actual 15,000 to 20,000" ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/article…

Liberals when your employer pays 7.65% to the government instead of giving that very real cash to you as part of your salary: “The employer contribution of FICA is not your money. It has no relation to you. You aren’t paying it. No corporate taxes ever impact you or make you poorer. How dare you. Stop complaining; you still get to keep 60% of your salary if you follow these 1000 rules of minimizing your tax burden.” Liberals when a random business in China has to pay $5 in tariffs for a nonessential toy: “You’re paying that, you know. He’s crushing your life with those tariffs and you don’t even know it. That $5 is actually your money, right out of your pocket. Straight out of your pocket and directly into Trump’s bathtub and you don’t know it.”

The Somali fraud in Minnesota is the same order of magnitude as the Missile Defense Agency's entire annual budget i.e. the thing that makes it so China can't turn America into a nuclear wasteland. The Somali fraud roughly equals the requested Golden Dome funds + DARPA budget.

Affirmative action is *not* zero-sum redistribution. It is very negative-sum. For example, in medicine there is a ~1std gap in test scores between blacks and whites. Norwegian data suggests a 1std deviation difference in doctor quality is worth ~$9M/doctor in lost life-years.
It bears repeating that the purpose of a job is for the job to be done. We don't take the garbage away as a jobs program for garbage men. We do it because garbage needs to be dealt with.

Can you wrap your mind around how crazy it is to see $9 Billion of Medicaid fraud in ONE STATE? Imagine a million dollar house. There’s enough Medicaid fraud in Minnesota to buy 9,000 of them. Thats half the GDP of Afghanistan. 3/4 of the GDP of Somalia. From one state.
About half or more of the roughly $18 billion in claims paid out by Medicaid to Minnesota-run programs may have been fraudulent, and at least 14 programs were likely exploited, a federal prosecutor said Thursday. cbsn.ws/4qn9k0B

The best permitting system is no permitting system. Most things that require permits today should not. Just build and if people break the rules, then enforce the rules. America needs to move from a permission economy to a freedom economy.
As SpaceX eyes launching tens of thousands of new satellites for Starlink, the FCC is indicating it’s ready to open the floodgates. Chair Brendan Carr looks to replace a 'Default to No' process with a 'Default to Yes' framework for satellite approvals. The FCC announced a new effort to fast-track the required approvals for satellite systems that typically take a year or more to review.

this nuclear power plant cost 13 billion and was never finished. it never powered anything. had it been completed, it could have produced up to 5000 megawatts. to produce 5000 megawatts with solar would take solar panels covering an area the size of THE ENTIRETY OF SAN FRANCISCO
With the push of a button, the 540’ cooling tower in Hartsville, TN, safely came down this morning. The iconic structure was removed to make the Hartsville site safer and ready for tomorrow’s potential opportunities. ⚡🏗️

The US government banning Juul, an American company, so less-regulated Chinese cos Guangdong Qisitech (Geek Bar) and Shenzhen iMiracle (Elf Bar) could own the nicotine market was so incredibly stupid.
vaping seems way more evil than cigarettes. im treating a zoomer patient this week with fairly serious alcohol dependency/withdrawal and risk of seizures, but he really wants to leave the hospital, citing nicotine cravings. been kind of confused bc he's on maximum patch + 4mg nicotine gum as often as he wants it, he's currently racking up like 60mg of nicotine a day (equivalent to 3 packs of cigs) turns out he's going through 1 of those disposable vapes called a geek bar every 2 days, roughly equivalent of 500-750mg of nicotine every single day. that's like nicotine equivalent of 30ish packs of cigs EVERY DAY. no idea how you're supposed to quit in that situation. you'd probably have to taper over like...a year? real people are being legitimately one shot by a machine with more compute than what it took to put us on the moon because it dispenses the most addictive substance in the world at quantities that would make the average SERIOUS smoker sick

I took this photo in South Africa. When a state puts up signs rather then deal with the crime they are warning about, they are a failed state.
