I feel so sorry for Netflix era kids. They will never know the high stakes adrenaline of running to the bathroom/fridge/bedroom in a single ad break, with the beckoning call of a sibling screaming "It's ONNNNNN" to send you hurdling over furniture to get back in time.

The wellness expert Liz Earle is ‘fitter than ever’ at 63, and she’s not alone. Alison Cork, also 63, on what’s involved, and why it’s worth it

My new book, Building Belonging in Schools, is out next month.
It’s available for pre-order now.
I’m convinced that we can really shift the experience that kids have in schools, and make them places where they love to go.
This book is my attempt to set out how.
I think this is my favourite weather. Slightly cold but sunny. #DeLaWarrPavillion #BexhillOnSea

I’m Gen X. I spent my childhood terrified of quicksand, spontaneous human combustion and the Bermuda Triangle.
Turns out I should’ve been worried about my knees.

We had our first experience of this framework this week and this is very welcome news and long overdue. Let’s hope they don’t just tinker around the edges and actually understand it is a revolution, not evolution, that is needed @LucyMPowell theguardian.com/education/20…
It just makes me love Richard E Grant even more…🤣🤣🤣 #traitors
I’m on the fence about Ofsted. But, having gone through 4 inspections since the change in framework…there is nothing consistent about them.

‘Literacy is an inclusion strategy’
“Literacy is inclusive teaching; inclusive teaching is a focus on developing literacy skills.”

We’re pleased to share OCMAT’s Mainstream Inclusion Strategy exemplification and a practical template for schools. We hope it supports high expectations while reducing barriers to learning, participation and belonging. Please use or adapt anything useful. ocmat.org.uk/Our-Inclusion/

Some high school kids were talking and said “No way Gen X wrote 10-page papers without AI.”
Oh, honey.
We wrote them without reading the book…the night before they were due…by hand and in cursive.
We are not the same.

Been trying to get hold of Babyteeth for a while as only had a TDK copy off a mate back in the day as my first introduction to @therapyofficial. I reckon @ModernCassie would approve.

One day, your home will be empty, and someone will have to decide what to do with your things. They'll open your drawers. They'll find the watch you treasured so much, the car you spent three years paying off, and the clothes you saved for special occasions because you didn't want to wear them out. And they'll make three piles: what to sell, what to give away, and what to throw away. None of it goes with you. Not a single thing. The only thing that goes with you is that afternoon you stayed talking for hours and didn't even realize where the time went. The look on your mom's face when you showed up to visit her without telling her you were coming. Don't collect things... Collect moments with the people you love

All getting a bit real. After two years speaking to experts on the Building Belonging Project and two years of reading and writing, we’re onto the proofs for my book Building Belonging in Schools.

This is fantastic. Highlights the complexity of how to really think about inclusion
I’ve written a blog on Mainstream Inclusion Strategies: not as another document for the website, but as a way for schools to surface what’s already happening, test assumptions, identify gaps and decide what needs to be sharper.
