A new form of trauma is gaining popularity among female-dominated professions, including therapy, social work, nursing, and teaching.
“Secondary traumatic stress” or “vicarious trauma” describes the apparent “trauma” one experiences simply by interacting with others who have experienced trauma.
When researchers look at male-dominated professions, including policing, where officers frequently encounter victims of crime, they find much lower rates. One study of police officers found 90 percent scoring in the low range.
Apparently trauma is highly contagious, but somewhat selective about its host.

Il y a une petite musique qui est un des moteurs du féminisme contemporain, probablement depuis des décennies en fait. Moi, c’est un des trucs qui m’a littéralement fracassé le cerveau il y a une grosse dizaine d’années, et une des raisons pour lesquelles j’ai fini par fuir ce truc. C’est le collectivisme. Le collectivisme gynocentré. Une femme fait quelque chose, et soudain ce sont LES femmes qui sont concernées.ou devraient l’être.
Une femme réussit dans un milieu masculin et ne va pas spécialement aider les autres femmes ? « Queen Bee » : elle ne serait pas assez solidaire. Une femme assume d’être désirable, voire de jouer avec son pouvoir sexuel ? Elle réduirait LES femmes à des objets sexuels et ferait régresser leur condition.
Mais euh.. pourquoi ce qu’une femme fait devrait-il systématiquement engager toutes les autres ? On n’est pas reliées par nos utérus. On n’a pas un intestin commun.
Et comme je vous dis au départ, cette idée n’est pas nouvelle. Dans les années 60-70, certaines féministes parlaient carrément du « peuple des femmes ». Si si, je vous assure. Allez chercher. On retrouve aussi cette logique dans une vieille polémique autour de Florence Montreynaud (militante féministe) et de mannequins (vraies femmes, pas en plastique) en lingerie exposées dans les vitrines des Galeries Lafayette (début des années 2000) : l’idée que les sous-vêtements relevaient de l’intime et que leur exposition engageait l’image DES femmes. Et bla et bla.
Ça démarrait prétendument sur un projet au nom de l’émancipation, et rapidement la rhétorique est arrivée à une conception très "conservatrice" : une femme doit être exemplaire parce qu’elle représente les autres femmes. 🤡🤷🏽♀️
Et alors le plus ironique, c’est que c’est très proche de ce qu’ont fait les sociétés humaines avec les femmes, surtout les femmes entre elles, depuis que le monde existe : ne fais pas honte aux autres femmes, ne donne pas le mauvais exemple, tiens-toi bien, pense à ce que ton comportement dit des femmes….
On change le vocabulaire, mais on retrouve une mécanique archaïque (sûrement une bonne explication évo psy à ça, j’en doute pas) de contrôle social des comportements féminins..

Women are to blame for cancel culture and the woke agenda
Here’s why:
It’s called the tipping point.
Helen Andrews calls this the Great Feminization.
When an institution hits a critical mass of women, the rules of engagement change.
Women have taken up judgeships, political offices, and leadership positions across society.
Then they form larger collective groups and start ranking:
safety over risk
empathy over rationality
cohesion over competition
That’s extremely destructive, and I’ll tell you why.
This is the distinction.
Most men want to fight it out.
Someone challenges the idea.
They argue.
One side wins.
It’s over.
They move on.
Women in a group often don’t fight it out.
They shut it down.
Disagreement isn’t treated like a debate.
It’s treated like a break in the relationship.
The group closes ranks.
The man with the opposing idea becomes the problem.
So a lot of men learned to keep their mouths shut.
To women, it is no longer right versus wrong.
It becomes heartfelt feelings.
If a woman doesn’t like what you said, the natural move is: “I’ll never speak to you again, and neither will any of my friends.”
That’s how cancel culture has been working.
A lot of Boomer and Gen X men tolerated this.
They didn’t see where it was heading.
Give an inch, they take a yard.
Society has to stop indulging it.
That means making some women upset and dealing with the tantrums for a while.
The irony?
A lot of those same women desperately need someone to fix what they’ve helped destroy.

Dysfunctional women keep their husbands away from other men, so that other men don't call out their crazy behavior.
Then they complain about ending up with an isolated man.
Wow. The complete lack of compassion for men in this piece blows my mind. Mockery all along the way. But should I really be surprised? They frame women as the victims, and of course bring up the term “mankeeping.” They end the piece with this: “But here’s the disturbing, even infuriating, takeaway: Women lose time bonding outside their marriage because they’re stressing about their forlorn mates or playing BFF to them.”
This is them “addressing the challenges of men.” Disturbing.
