We have a travel team in town. Not AAU. All town kids. Basically the “All Stars” like we used to have but they play a full season against other towns. Those kids also must play rec. Makes for a great rec league and the more competitive kids can play travel if they want. $1200

This move by the #GC to mandate employees to return to the office 2 - 3 days per week is from another era.
Way to alienate your workforce & push away workers who have learned that balance & flexibility is not only possible but necessary to promote equity in the workplace. 1/5

I'm thankful my path to financial freedom led me to leave the #GC in 2021. If not then, I would surely leave now, just like many will now do.
However I am fully aware that not everyone is at a place where they could just up & leave their work, especially in these times. (2/5)
With high inflation & interest rates, many families feel financial stress.
Did the #GC view this as a good time for this move as people are more dependant on their income?
On the other hand, commuting 2-3 days a wk adds costs that some might just not be able to afford. (3/5)
To GOC parents, employees with disabilities and/or those who feel remote work helps prevent discrimination or prejudice, I feel for you.
Know that there are workplaces who have recognized the benefit of fully remote workers. I've had many clients & friends find this. (4/5)
