NaVorro Bowman Jr., 5-star point guard out of Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California has committed to the University of Connecticut and will play for coach Dan Hurley.
Bowman Jr., son of former 49ers standout linebacker NaVorro Bowman, is the highest-ranked player to commit to a school in the 2027 High School Class. He’s No. 12 overall in ESPN’s rankings.
A lil upset my lil cousin is inactive tonight for the patriots but it’s still crazy to see his name on that roster

On the scene: First look at rookie LB Erick Hunter (49), who took the 53rd and final spot on the roster, as he works in a tackling technique drill against rookie TE Eli Raridon.

Erick Hunter is proof that hard work still pays off. 😤
He spent his entire college career at Morgan State, earning numerous HBCU and FCS honors.
In May of 2026, he signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent. The linebacker played well in his preseason appearances, but was released during the final cuts.
As of yesterday, Hunter signed with the New England Patriots and is on their 53-man roster, per @wyche89.

“[Erick Hunter] is long, he’s rangy and aggressive but what I love the most about him is how consistent he is in pass coverage.” 🔥 🔥 🔥
Another UDFA signing for the Patriots and at a critical position (LB).

Prince George’s County, Maryland is home to five of the 10 richest Black towns in America, and the wealth is impossible to miss, from Rolls Royces and McLarens to $3 million homes and private schools. RocaNews Youtubers visit Bowie, Woodmore, Upper Marlboro, and Fort Washington while showing how government jobs, college-educated families, entrepreneurship, and decades of development helped shape the area. One resident even went from a defense contract to launching an AI startup, while another shared that her mother was appointed by President Biden. Folks are finally getting a look at a thriving Black majority community that many people never knew existed.
