I’m all for teams doing whatever they fan to create a home field advantage, but the Brewers putting an ad behind home plate promoting a website telling fans to boo the Padres’ starting pitcher is a little classless imo

I don’t think this is a suspension. Carlo was lining up and starting to deliver a body check (and whiffing) as Hintz last second shifts to dodge it. Most kneeing suspensions I see have a guy extending a leg for contact. no extra extension to initiate contact.

Brandon Carlo was assessed a five-minute major for this hit on Roope Hintz 😬 (via @tntsports)

Looking at a few other hits, I think it’s less offensive than Kucheeovs hit which didn’t get a suspension and much less offensive than Gudas who got 5 games. I guess we’ll see how much they say his knee was outside body but definitely no intent. Still happened though so we’ll see

There’s zero chance he’s gonna win in Idaho as an independent but Todd Achilles might win best campaign ad of the year with this

I could 100% get behind this NHL style emergency goalie type of idea. Would need some rules and requirements. I think there needs to be something where a minimum of 5 MLB pitchers are used first (even before position players should be eligible) and only for losing teams
Evan Altman@DEvanAltmanSep 1
MLB teams should be allowed to carry a taxi player every game who is just a random local guy playing men's league baseball, and his only job would be to pitch in blowouts rather than getting a position player throwing eephus pitches.

Why is it ‘cancelled’ in the U.K. but ‘canceled’ in the U.S.? Because we gave them that L in 1776.

Okay, the real story here is interviewing the firefighters who got pelted running hot to a call. Can we get an interview from them?

New month, same sweet swing from Jesús Made ⚡️ MLB's No. 1 prospect (@Brewers) goes deep for the @BiloxiShuckers after having hit .314 during June as the youngest player at Double-A.

It’s been too long since the @Cardinals and Busch had this energy. I used to be a teen/YA starting slow claps, chants, the wave, etc… I remember running 360* around the upper deck of Busch II rallying fans and not losing sight of the field Let’s make that a regular thing again.

If this cone isn’t used as a HR prop, or permanently stationed to capture HRs in the bullpen from now on, the @pirates are doing something wrong.

How are we feeling about Jasson Dominguez? Tearing up the minors but nowhere to play. In a win-now do you flip him + lower prospect for Jarren Duran? SB is my area for best points growth and Duran is an obp upgrade. I believe Jasson has a higher ceiling but want production now.

$19+ million for the Pirates and Rays. That’s almost more than their MLB payroll.

Slot values for the @MLBDraft are up 2.5% from 2025. That gives the @WhiteSox a record $11,350,600 assigned value for the No. 1 overall pick. The @Pirates have the biggest bonus pool ever at $19,130,700. Each team's pool is below. We'll have a story up at @MLBPipeline soon.

Biggest surprise on here to me is how many inside-the-park grand slams there have been. I’m guessing the vast OFs of yesteryear made them more common back then.
