My brother has cerebral palsy and when we were growing up I seen the difficulties he had navigating the built environment, which made me become a urban planner, but sadly little has changed since. We need to listen to disabled people, accommodate their needs and ensure we truly integrate disabled people into the workplace and society as a whole. #rtept #UniversalDesign #DisabledPersons
Four exceptional people with disabilities give Prime Time a unique insight into their lives and the everyday obstacles that they face trying to succeed and enjoy live life to the full as athletes, a comedian and in education.

My dad Dr John Stace has finished his journey by ebike across Australia from Perth to Sydney. The 5000km took 63 days of riding 80km/ day.
I joined him for the first 800km through Western Australia to Norseman. We started by dipping our bike wheels in the Indian Ocean

A population density map of Australia (minus outlying islands). The strange tall spikes stopped me from sharing sooner but I can't figure out why. If I lower the resolution, they go away. 🤔

A population density map of China. Tried a number of variations (e.g. only large cities) but settled on showing everything (a mistake?). By far the hardest map to label so do let me know if I made any errors.

At 35 I have yet to drive a car.
This wasn’t a political statement - living in cities, I never actually needed one for my “freedom.”
So the idea of being car free as a political movement is interesting to me, and is covered by @TheEconomist:

#HongKong showed me the value of density - efficient PT, street life, clustered cultural infra. Great lessons in vertical urbanism.
