"The Ungrateful Dead" felt like a very important story to include in The Rainbow Issue. It is a difficult read, but there is an urgency to this story that is matched only by the beauty of Clayton's prose. I'm so grateful we snagged it for the issue.

Hey, there’s a lot of romanticization of the misery of writing and I just want to say that you should enjoy writing!!!! There’s nothing noble or honorable about hating the process of creating art. Despair certainly has its appeal but this can (and should) be fun!!!
This is a story close to my heart. I have seen @WriterClaytonB work so hard in order to make the character of Grayce come alive on the page. Couldn't be prouder of my spouse.
