Good morning & welcome to Roast Dinner Day Sunday is a little reminder that life doesn’t always have to be a rush Take time for the people who matter, be kind to those who may be struggling, and remember that doing nothing occasionally is doing something for yourself.

The Metropolitan Opera in New York asked its audience to stand in solidarity with Ukraine as the orchestra played the Ukrainian national anthem. Hundreds rose together, and one voice in the crowd began singing along.

Good morning and welcome to Fish For Tea Friday You don’t have to understand everything someone is going through to show them kindness. Sometimes the smallest gesture, a gentle word or a little understanding, can mean more than you’ll ever know. Be kind. Always.

A man suddenly approaches a group of street musicians and asks, “Can I play with you? I’ve got my pan flute.” When they ask what he wants to play, he chooses Vivaldi’s Winter from "The Four Seasons"—one of the most difficult pieces there is. And then he leaves everyone around him in awe. On the pan flute, Michel Tirabosco delivers an incredibly skillful performance, with remarkable breath control and emotion. Even though this was a planned flash-mob-style setup, the real talent of the musicians and the pure joy they bring still move people deeply. A beautiful moment of music, connection, and limitless passion.

I spend a fair bit of time in historic racing, as many know and so I talk to a serious quota of ‘greatest generation’ racing drivers. Here’s a few things millennials like me should really note - they are in their 70’s/80’s now… They arrive on time without fail, (I’m talking - to the literal minute) explain patiently and quietly with zero pretence despite objectively terrifying feats/stories. They minimise their own and maximise everyone else’s contribution to their usually significant results and achievements. And often tell the story from somebody else’s perspective These are people forged by different world. Roll your eyes as much as you want, we need to grab their view of the world before it’s gone.
