We are devastated to learn of the passing of Kevin Keegan, one of the most iconic, influential and deeply loved figures in our club’s history.
Kevin was more than a legendary footballer and manager. He was the beating heart of Newcastle United for generations of supporters.

Absolute chaos in the UEFA Conference League qualifier between Malta’s Hamrun and NSI of the Faroe Islands.
Hamrun were convinced the ball had gone out for a goal kick, so they picked it up.
Referee awarded a 91st-minute penalty.
Hamrun lost 2-1 and 3-2 on agg.
Incredible.

🚨 𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗭𝗬 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧: 4 of the 5 most populated countries in the world failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
China, India, Indonesia and Pakistan didn't qualify.
Their combined population makes 3.420 billion people; that's 42.2% of the entire world's population.
42.2% of the world's population won't be able to root for their national team at the next World Cup edition. 😓

🇳🇬 Nigeria was lucky that the results vs 6th placed teams were not counted due to 🇪🇷 Eritrea withdrawing from competition.
This meant that 4 points they dropped vs 🇿🇼 Zimbabwe didn't count.
And then on the last day of qualifiers, Frank Onyeka scored a goal in 90th minute for 4-0 vs 🇧🇯 that made 🇳🇬 Nigeria jump over 🇧🇫 Burkina Faso by one goal and squeeze into the playoffs.
Incredible turn of events.
Can this finish any other way than 🇳🇬 Nigeria qualifying to the World Cup?

We've warned about it on Thursday, but now it's even more likely to happen.
If 🇧🇦 BiH do not beat 🇷🇴 Romania, it will be in 🇸🇲 San Marino's best interest to LOSE to 🇷🇴 Romania last matchday by AS MANY GOALS AS POSSIBLE to maximize their chances of reaching WC playoffs via UNL.
Any competition format that creates such perverse incentives is a bad format. Period.
