I think I missed the newsflash about when you became a kingmaker of any kind such that everyone else is a supplicant who must approach you on bended knee. You have a half-million followers largely generated by criticizing leftist cultural Marxism. Great. Unsolicited advice, but that's where you should have kept focusing, as that is a grave threat to the Republic. But you've never held high political office. You've never actually engaged in real fights where billions of dollars are at stake, as just two examples. You've just written and spoken about such things. In Teddy Roosevelt's terms, you've never been in a real arena. You're a public intellectual. You serve a useful function when your ideas are praiseworthy (which as this episode shows, is not always). But you are not in the tier of being in the central arena of real policy struggles. You're at several levels of remove from that. If I were an egotist, I would say you have our relative positions entirely upside-down. But I'm NOT an egotist and I offered an equal-footing private discussion. Apparently, you are eschewing that, and that's avoiding stepping into an arena, just one of a different and smaller kind.
