PM Benjamin Netanyahu ordered Israel's military, Shin Bet and attorney general on Sunday to reveal the identities of soldiers and officers interviewed in the documentary "NAZA" and prosecute them for "serious information security offenses, criminal defamation and harm to Israel's diplomatic and security interests."
In his letter, Netanyahu wrote that "there is concern that those involved in the defamatory film committed serious criminal offenses by exposing highly classified information and creating a breach in the information security of a highly sensitive intelligence unit." | @jonathanlis1

Anna, this just reinforces the fact that they, and in this case specifically @Saxon_African is busy with a coordinated effort to tarnish the international reputation of our country. They are the ones that wants to divide an already fractured nation.

How squeamish we are in this new geopolitical kitchen. How easily some of us choose sides against our own country.
Last year, when Ebrahim Rasool got expelled because he said the Trump administration was mobilizing white victimhood (a decision I endorsed), some of you were quick to point out the correct place and decorum of am ambassador.
Now, many of those same voices have changed to defending the ambassador, all based on "asks" that should at best be debated. See the pattern?
Speaking of patterns, have a look at this list of ambassadors openly criticizing their host countries, in breach of diplomatic protocols, and against the strong objection from those countries:
L. Brent Bozell III — United States ambassador to South Africa
Charles Kushner — United States ambassador to France
Tom Rose — United States ambassador to Poland
Pete Hoekstra — United States ambassador to Canada
Brandon Judd — United States ambassador to Chile
Bill White — United States ambassador to Belgium
See the pattern?
For many of you, your breathless indignation and your stated concern for the welfare of the country is little more than a thinly veiled, and terribly transparent, mask to hide your prejudice and your selfishness. If you want to improve the country, and by God we need so much if that, do it from this side of the fence.
If you are sincere about this, as most of you are, stop basing your decisions on fear and sophisticated hate campaigns that use you as gun fodder. Fight for your country without being gullible, without oversimplification, without doing further damage
International relations and co-operation minister Ronald Lamola says US ambassador Leo Brent Bozell III must “get out of the kitchen” if he no longer believes in diplomatic engagements with Pretoria tinyurl.com/58nc4uka

President @CyrilRamaphosa, we are being bullied in our own country under your watch as South Africans.
The conduct and public statements of Ernst Roets, Kallie Kriel, AfriForum and Lex Libertas are in the public domain. The world has seen them. Your government has seen them. South Africans have seen them.
This is no longer something that can simply be dismissed as political noise. When individuals deliberately spread false or materially misleading information about South Africa internationally, damage the country’s constitutional order or attempt to induce foreign governments to act against the Republic, the State must determine whether criminal offences have been committed.
And if the evidence establishes the elements of HIGH TREASON, they must be charged with HIGH TREASON and brought before a court.
We have investigated for far too long. We have watched the narrative being exported, repeated and used against South Africa while those responsible continue operating as though there are no consequences.
So I ask you directly, President Ramaphosa:
WHY HAVE THEY NOT BEEN ARRESTED AND CHARGED WHERE THE EVIDENCE ESTABLISHES A CRIMINAL OFFENCE?
Are you afraid of Ernst Roets, Kallie Kriel, AfriForum and Lex Libertas?
South Africans are watching.
We cannot have one standard of law for ordinary South Africans and another standard for those with political connections, money, organisations and international platforms.
If their conduct amounts to treason, CHARGE THEM WITH TREASON.
If other offences have been committed, CHARGE THEM UNDER THE APPROPRIATE LAWS.
But stop watching. Stop hesitating. Stop allowing South Africa to be dragged through the mud internationally while the people responsible operate with apparent impunity.
THE LAW MUST APPLY TO EVERYONE.
NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.
SOUTH AFRICA IS NOT A COLONY OF WASHINGTON.

Dear @USAmbRSA, if you are really interested in the plight of farmers, you would meet with @AgriSA1904 soonest. Unlike AfriForum and other fringe actors, they represent the majority of SA’s 40 000 commercial farmers. This is what their CEO Johann Kotzé wrote yesterday.

27 people have been killed in two separate shootings over one weekend. 17 people gunned down in a bar in Wedela. 10 at a store in Lwandle. This comes days after 11 people were murdered at a house party in Durban, including a pregnant woman.
South Africa records over 200,000 gun-related crimes every year. Murder stats are declining on paper, but the bodies keep piling up, especially in the townships where the state has never bothered to build a functioning police station, a decent school, or a clinic that isn’t falling apart.
To the government: Stop releasing crime stats like they’re a yearly exercise. Do something! To civil society: Stop organising summits. Get into Wedela. Get into Lwandle. To the public: If you are not angry, you are not paying attention.
This country belongs to all. Every single person in it. That means every life is worth the same. Not just the ones behind boomed walls and private security.
