Talking all things #homelessness at the #Huddersfield Housing and Homelessness Forum, here at @huddsmission. We need to address rough sleeping, but homelessness is much bigger than this. Sofa surfing. Unsafe or overcrowded housing. People in temp accommodation / B&B etc

Over the last 2 weeks Mission staff have attended 2 funerals for members of the Mission community. 2 women who in very different ways contribute to the life of the Mission. One a volunteer and one a long time customer, and both valued for their contribution. Rest in Peace

It is Christmas dinner day @huddsmission today. The cafe is full, with more people patiently waiting. As is the way with the Mission i can see plenty of familiar faces, but also new faces too. All enjoying the hospitality of the Mission- a safe place for all.

Staff and volunteers have been preparing all week and service is well underway. Today we will serve so many people that we don't have enough plates, cutlery or seats for everyone all at the same time! Thanks to all the staff, volunteers and donors who make today possible.
