🚨 MEET ARTHUR EUGENE LINDSEY. In 1965, he was convicted of raping and murdering a 21-year-old woman in Indiana. He was released and came to California where he attacked another woman again. While on parole, he drugged and repeatedly raped an unconscious woman over two days. Parole officers caught him sexually assaulting her. Yet California law classified these horrific sexual assaults as “NONVIOLENT” felonies. That means crimes like his can qualify for Proposition 57’s early parole consideration and expanded prison credits. Thankfully he hasn’t yet been released but could be one day. A convicted murderer. A repeat sexual predator. And a system that calls drugging and raping an unconscious woman “nonviolent.” HOW CAN THIS POSSIBLY REPRESENT CALIFORNIA VALUES? Victims deserve better. California must do better.

Fontana Police Seek Additional Victims in Child Sexual Exploitation Investigation   In August 2026, Fontana Police detectives began investigating reports that a child under the age of 14 had been sexually exploited by an adult they met on social media.   The investigation led detectives to Sergio Cortes, 21, of Los Angeles, who was arrested on October 15, 2026, in Los Angeles. Following Cortes’ arrest, detectives uncovered information linking his social media accounts and phone number to additional potential victims. Investigators believe there may be other minors who had contact with Cortes online and are asking anyone who may have been affected to come forward.   Detectives learned that Cortes allegedly used social media platforms, including Instagram, Snapchat, and X, to contact minors, misrepresent his age, and attempt to arrange in-person meetings. He also allegedly requested sexual images and videos from minors. Anyone under the age of 18 who had contact with Cortes online, or any parent or guardian who believes their child may have been contacted by him, is encouraged to contact Detective Romo at [email protected] or 909-356-3350. You do not need to be certain that you were victimized to reach out. Any information may help investigators identify others who may have been affected. Cortes allegedly used the following social media accounts:       •    X: @AlexR654478     •    Snapchat: cortes262277     •    Instagram: 806cortez, goat.3786383, guer.o92837, gecko.26911611, 9corttez

86 FELONY CONVICTIONS. THREE WOMEN DRUGGED AND RAPED. AND NOW HE’S FREE. Andrew Luster, the Max Factor heir who drugged and raped unconscious women and videotaped his crimes, was originally sentenced to 124 years in prison. His sentence was later reduced to 50 years. Now he’s walking free after serving less than half of that sentence. How did this happen? Because California classified his crimes as “nonviolent” felonies, allowing him to benefit from expanded prison credits under Proposition 57. Luster was released based on California’s sentence-credit laws. After years of failed legislative efforts, California finally changed the law in 2024 to recognize certain drug-facilitated rapes as violent felonies. But the law came too late for Luster’s victims. It did nothing to change his convictions or prevent his release. Think about that. A serial rapist convicted of 86 felonies is free, despite a 50-year sentence and repeated opposition to his release. Tell his victims that justice was served. California’s laws should recognize the devastating violence inflicted on sexual assault victims—not create opportunities for their attackers to leave prison years before their court-imposed sentences expire. ktla.com/news/california/out…

MISSING PERSON / HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN ARREST OF HUSBAND   Jasmine Gill was last seen at her Sacramento residence on September 30, 2026. On October 4, 2026, her cousin reported Jasmine missing. During the initial investigation, Jasmine’s husband, Gurinder Gill, claimed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents had taken Jasmine into custody while she was checking the mail at their residence. Detectives contacted ICE, which confirmed that no enforcement activity had occurred at the residence.   As the investigation progressed, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office detectives identified several inconsistencies in Gurinder’s statements about his wife’s disappearance. Detectives learned that Jasmine and Gurinder were engaged in an ongoing divorce and child custody dispute.   On October 1, 2026, burned human remains were discovered in El Dorado County. It was later confirmed that the remains were those of Jasmine Gill. Based on their investigation, Homicide Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Gurinder for murder.   On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, detectives located and arrested Gurinder. Detectives also executed search warrants at two residences associated with him. Gurinder was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on murder charges and is ineligible for bail.
